While at work, Carlo looked down at his phone, unlocking it, before opening up the app Bumble. There was a connection request and a question -

"What is your go to appetizer?"

Intrigued, he responded, "well, that would depend on the type of restaurant..."

Beth had figured out a way to any true Italian man's heart -

His stomach.

After some short back and forth, a first date took place at Time Out Market. They shared some stories, and laughs, asked about one another's past, and there was a hint of something. As they walked out together, Beth thought to herself, "I would kiss him."

Carlo left.

Smooth, Carlo. So, so smooth.

A little known fact is that in any relationship, the male always has at least one "I should have or shouldn't have done that" regret.

The difference is within the successful relationships, the male is able to overcome it.

Thankfully right after Valentine's Day, a second date happened, a kiss happened, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Over the years, Beth and Carlo have traveled together, visiting friends and family around the world. From Florence to Florida, Connecticut to Cape Cod, the two found more and more that they loved the life they were building together.

Halloween in Boston's neighborhood of Charlestown is amongst the most celebrated in the country. Thousands take to the streets around the Bunker Hill Monument to trick-or-treat, listen to live music, walk through the city squares decorated with spooky inflatables, and enjoy a night of drinks, friends, and fun. Carlo decided the time had come, and after his family ring was set, shined, and ready, he dropped to one knee and decided that for Halloween in 2023, what he wanted to be was Beth's fiancé.
