Drawing more than a million visitors each year, this downtown gem is the most-visited museum in the Tar Heel State and the largest of its kind in the Southeast. With four floors of exhibits and millions of specimens, it's fair to say the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences lives large. Pullen Park is the first public park in North Carolina, the 5th oldest operating amusement park in the U.S., and the 16th oldest in the world.

With over 1,200 rose bushes, this historic garden is nothing short of a fragrant wonderland, where colors and aromas collide in one 6.5 acre park. The Raleigh Rose Garden is free to visit, and is open to the public from dawn to dusk, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The Museum Park showcases the connection between art and nature through site-specific works of art and notable programming. Both are free to visit.
