If you're in search of some classic New Hampshire mountain beauty, head over to the Franconia Notch State park. From here, there are several short/easy hikes, such as the Flume Gorge. If you're looking for more of an adventurous hike, take on the Franconia Ridge Trail loop (one of my favorite hikes in the White Mountains). This loop trail starts at the Lafayette Place East parking lot and summits 4 mountains for 8.6 miles and 3,832 feet of elevation gain. Family fun park with mini golf, go-karts, ziplines, batting cages, ice cream & more

For a shorter and more local hike, Winant Park has some pretty trails. I haven't been there myself, but the pictures look really nice!

For an indoor activity, Gibson's Bookstore, est. in 1898, offers a cozy setting of books and a cafe.
