Daniel and Bethany met in the summer of 2021 in Nice on the French Riveria while Bethany was on vacation and Daniel was working. The two instantly hit it off and kept up with each other over social media forming a connection over three months. In December 2021, they went their separate ways but always stored their love for one another in their hearts. In January of 2023 after a year of being apart, Daniel and Bethany reconnected with one another, becoming inseparable since then.
They began officially dating in April of 2023 before seeing each other for the first time in two years on July 1, 2023. When Daniel saw Bethany in the airport after two years of not seeing each other face to face, he immediately told Bethany he was going to marry her and she felt the same way. They continued dating on the weekends throughout the summer and visiting each other as much as they could throughout the year. Daniel asked Bethany's Father for permission for her hand in marriage on September 7, while Bethany's family was visiting Daniel on his leave in Cannes, France.
On December 31 in Paris France, Daniel got on one knee and proposed at the Louvre Museum to Bethany with the most beautiful ring they had chosen together. This is a very special place for Bethany and Daniel because Paris is where they both began their separate journies in France over the years before meeting each other.
The Sovereignty of God and his plan is evident when tracing back all of the minor and major moments of their lives that led them to each other today. An American with a love of French culture and a South African who courageously left his home to better his and his family's lives crossed each other's paths, finding their soulmate most unexpectedly.
We are so excited to get married this June in the South of France and celebrate our love for one another in Jesus Christ with the ones we love the most. We hope you can make it to our special day and we are so thankful for every one of you for impacting our lives in such a meaningful way.
