Lander is a pretty simple town! However it still has loads to offer! If you like the outdoors then you’re golden! There is climbing at sinks canyon and the wild iris (located off limestone road). There is mountain biking all over but the known places are Johnny Behind the Rocks, and the Bus loop area. Fishing in the Little Popo Agie, Worthen reservoir, or anywhere you can wet a line! Hiking in the Wind River Range or easier trails in Sinks Canyon. The list goes on and on for outdoor entertainment. The town itself hosts a couple good ol’ fashion watering holes like the Lander Bar, The Endzone (if you want to catch a game or two), Mulino, or a fancy cocktail bar inside the Lincoln Street Bakery. You can also check out the surrounding towns of Dubois or Pinedale in an easy day drive. We have multiple Museums like the Museum of the American West, the Pioneer Museum and the National Museum of Military Vehicles in Dubois! We also have a movie theatre located on Main Street but don’t get your hopes up.. it only has one screen so sit down, kick back and enjoy the one showing playing 🤣
