Am I allowed to bring a plus one/date?
We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. Your invitation will be made out to "{Your Name} & {Guest Name}" if a plus one has been given to you.
Are kids invited?
While we would love to see your kids, we have decided to keep our ceremony and reception an adult only event. We hope you understand and can enjoy a fun date night!
What happens if I don't RSVP in time?
If we do not get an RSVP back by the specified date, it will be marked as a "No." We will miss you at the celebration, however we have to provide total guest counts to our vendors in a timely manor. Due to this, we cannot accept late RSVPs and hope you understand.
What if I cannot make it, or have to cancel last minute?
Your presence will surely be missed, please RSVP "Will not attend". If you have already RSVP'd attending but find that you will not make it, please notify Blair (804) 971-2949 or David (224) 501-6555 as soon as possible.
What's the deal with the registry?
Your attendance is a gift in itself, but should you wish to honor us with a present, we'd greatly appreciate a contribution towards our dream honeymoon in Italy. We have been fortunate enough to live together for the last 3 years and have all the things we need, and want to prioritize experiences and travel together.
Please find a link to our registry at the top of the page under the tab "Registry".
What is the dress code for your wedding?
The recommended attire will be cocktail-dress. For men, this may look like a 2-piece suit (tie optional). For women this will be nicer dresses (think knee length, tea-length or midi), jumpsuits, or pant suits. For examples, please see our Pinterest board: https://pin.it/6EC2hWm
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
For women: please refrain from wearing flip flops or sneakers, but all other shoes are acceptable. We recommend you wear something you are comfortable in so you can dance the night away with us!
For Men: please refrain from wearing flip flops, sandals, or sneakers. Dress shoes are recommended, but please make sure you are comfortable and ready to boogie.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will be indoors. However, there is an outdoor area of the reception venue that we invite you to enjoy.
What will the weather be like?
Early September in Chicago will likely be 70-80+ degrees, please dress accordingly. It may also be somewhat humid, but hopefully sunny! While it may be September, it will more than likely still feel very much like summer.
Is it okay to take pictures during the wedding?
Ceremony: We ask that you refrain from using your phones or cameras during the ceremony, we would like everyone to be present and unplugged. We have hired a wonderful photographer to take pictures which will be shared with our guests after the wedding. Please make sure your phone is off or silent during the ceremony!
Reception: Yes! You are more than welcome to take any photos you like during the reception, please feel free to share them with us after the reception.
What type of food will be served at the reception?
There will be free flowing food throughout the night. We will not be having a traditional sit down dinner, but rather a appetizer wedding with a number of different options for you to enjoy throughout the entire night. There will also be a charcuterie table and late night snacks, as well as desserts.
If you have dietary restrictions, options will be made available to you. Please let one of us know ahead of time, or include that information on your RSVP so we can make accommodations.
Please know there will be seating and tables available the whole night, and there will be time and places for everyone to sit!
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, there will be an open bar serving both soft drinks and alcoholic beverages throughout the night.
If I am driving, where can I park?
The church has limited parking in a lot on site, we will be asking for commitments on whether or not you intend to drive. If you do not let us know you are driving ahead of time and decide to bring a car, please find street parking. Our venue will have valet services you can take advantage of should you choose to drive. However, if you intend to drink alcohol during the night we ask that you please use public transit or ride share services to get you to and from your destination.
I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?
Questions can be directed to the the bride and groom, however we ask that if you have questions during the week leading up to the wedding you contact either Pam Dufour (847) 400-6453 or Anne Martin (847) 707-2075.
When do I need to RSVP by?
Please RSVP before August 7th so we can get our final head counts to our vendors!
