The main drag of Skaneateles, Genesee Street, is the heart of the action where you can find several boutiques and restaurants, including the Sherwood Inn and the Bluewater Grill. From there you can venture into Clift Park, which overlooks Skaneateles Lake and is home to the iconic gazebo, one of the signature images of Skaneateles.

Anyela's Vineyard is a winery located along Skaneateles Lake and is an 8 minute drive from the Village of Skaneateles.

The Charlie Major Nature Trail is an easy 1.5-mile out-and-back trail that once carried trains along the old Skaneateles Short Line Railroad. The railroad served millworks in the area, including paper mills, grist mills, distilleries, and woodworking mills, which were powered by Skaneateles Creek.

Parking is available at both ends: in Mottville at Cross Hill Road and Frost Street; north of Skaneateles around 4144 Mill Road (Old Seneca Turnpike).

Skaneateles Brewery brews beers with the best water in all The Finger Lakes, as they harness the water and pay tribute to Skaneateles Creek’s historic past. The brewery shares a building with the Last Shot Distillery.

Last Shot Distillery is located two miles from downtown Skaneateles and adjacent to the Charlie Major Nature Trail.
