We met and became friends in college, and started dating a couple years later. We fell in love in the two years that we dated, in the midst of some big life changes and challenges for each of us. We have seen so much of God’s faithfulness in our relationship, Blake’s education and career, and Damaris’ sickness and healing.

We weathered a season of intense health problems (on Damaris’ part) together with the support of our community, and in one of those low points, we intentionally dedicated our futures and our relationship to God in a beautiful valley that is part of the Trappist Abbey. In that very same spot, on a rare sunny winter day over a year later, Blake proposed! God brought us back to a place, both physically and spiritually, that we chose together to rely on and surrender to Him, and He blessed us there. And it’s the biggest blessing yet!!

We were married in an intimate ceremony in February 2024, and have spent the past 6 months learning and growing together in new ways. But we saved our first dance for you:) We are so excited to celebrate our marriage with so many people that we love!
