Ian Douglas Price was born on June 21st, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio to parents Doug and Lynn Price. Ian's early life consisted of lots of love from his parents, pups, and family as well as an early love of technology and video games.

Bobbie Annette Hall was born on October 20th, 1999 in Maumee, Ohio to parents Michael Hall and Rebecca Herner-Hall. Bobbie's early years consisted of lots of love from her parents, kitties, and extended family - including a sibling born in 2002.

Ian spent his teenage years playing video games and spending lots of time with friends - aka the "boys in the basement". He was involved in Worthington Kilbourne Highschool's JV and Varsity soccer teams, men's chorus, mixed chorus, the Kilbourne Singers, National Honor Society, Socratic Society, and volunteering at a memory loss unit. He graduated in May 2015 and was off to Miami University with a goal to obtain his computer science degree.

Ian: Birth - May 2015

Bobbie spent her teenage years spending time outdoors with her kitties and obsessing over various bands (mostly One Direction) and other celebrities. She was involved in Seneca East High School's JV and Varsity Cheerleading teams, Mixed Chorus, Show Choir, Drama Club, Musical Theatre, various honors choruses, All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir, the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, National Honor Society, Science Club, and often spent time volunteering during and after school hours with elementary students. Bobbie graduated in May 2017 and was off to Miami University with the goal to become a psychiatrist.

Bobbie: Birth - May 2017

On the afternoon of Thursday, August 23, 2018, Ian and Bobbie "matched" on Tinder and Ian sent a message that started it all... "Hey there, nice to meet you :)"

August 23, 2018

On the Friday before Labor Day, Bobbie, a bubbly sophomore with a sparkle in her eye, and Ian, a laid-back senior with a grin that could light up a room, were both dressed to impress for their first date at Mac &amp; Joes, a local pub in Oxford. Bobbie pulled into the parking lot of Ian’s apartment, where he stood waiting with a thoughtful gift for her and her friends. With a playful smile, they exchanged pleasantries before setting off toward the pub, both hearts buzzing with anticipation. At Mac &amp; Joes, Bobbie launched into her signature storytelling, weaving her life’s tales with infectious energy, while Ian, entranced by her every word, listened intently. Time flew by as laughter and conversation flowed, with Ian soaking in every moment, happy just to be there. Eventually, the evening came to an end as Ian needed to head home for a party he was hosting. After a sweet goodbye, Bobbie dropped him off, both reluctant to part ways. Later that night, as they each drifted into their own worlds, a quiet sense of excitement lingered, and both spent the rest of the night daydreaming about the next chapter of their unexpected story.

August 31, 2018: The First Date

Friday’s date left both Bobbie and Ian buzzing with excitement, eager to see each other again. Through the long weekend, they had already planned their next meet-up—a casual lunch at Wendy’s, where they could catch up and enjoy each other's company once more. From that moment on, they were always looking for reasons to spend time together, whether it was another trip to Wendy’s (because why not?), a quiet, rainy walk through the woods where Bobbie learned about Ian's fear of bees, or a cozy study date that somehow turned into the perfect moment for their first kiss. Each encounter, no matter how simple, felt like a small piece of something bigger and more meaningful.

September 2018: Dates 2-5

On September 22nd, the pair decided to make things "official" aka they were now going steady. News and excitement quickly spread through their friends and families.

September 22, 2018: It's Official

Over the next two semesters, the pair's care for eachother grew and blossomed into love. They attended each others' Holiday events and spent much time at Ian's apartment or in Bobbie's dorm. Ian's friends began to become Bobbie's and vice versa. Bobbie supported Ian's Miami Men's Glee Club concerts, inspiring Bobbie to Join Miami's Women's Chorus. Even in those first few months, the pair experienced each other in many seasons of life -- Bobbie losing a family friend who was like a second mother to her and ultimately deciding to no longer go to medical school -- All while Ian was navigating his mom's final months of cancer treatment, his senior year and eventually, life as a web development professional.

Ian's Senior Year | Bobbie's Sophomore Year

Welp, you know what's coming here... but before that, let's recap what happened BEFORE Feb 2020. In June 2019, Ian began working at his first job post-college. Bobbie, too, started a full-time job in Columbus as a Manager at Scioto Country Club - - a wonderful opportunity to be closer to Ian all summer, while living with her Grandmother and late Grandfather in Columbus. As Bobbie's junior year began in August, the pair finally had to start being a long-distance couple. Thankfully, 2.5 hours wasn't TOO far for Ian to make frequent weekend trips to Oxford. Let's gloss over the big event in 2020. It was and is stressful, but the pair made it through... with some modifications. In May 2021, Bobbie graduated and the pair moved to their first apartment together in Columbus - ready for a lifetime to come.

Summer 2019- May 2021

Bobbie began working in research at OSU while Ian continued growing his expertise in the web development industry. Months after moving in together, after laying Ian's long-time family pet, Keiko, to rest, they decided to add a new member to their little family -- a cute beige kitty named Willow. They spent the next year learning to better care for each other and learning a lot about each other. In 2023, after being rejected by Doctoral programs for a 2nd time, Bobbie knew it was time to find a new research position. With Ian's support, the pair began working on transitioning to a new city. Unfortunately, soon tragedy struck. Bobbie's mom became very ill and the couple spent the next several months driving back and forth between northern Ohio and Columbus until Bobbie's Mom, Becky, passed away in May 2023. Before her passing, Bobbie got to share exciting news with her mom -- First, that she and Ian were officially moving to Pittsburgh for Bobbie to start a new research position and Second, that Bobbie had purchased an engagement ring and wedding band for Ian - a ring set that Becky was so delighted to see and hold before her passing. Becky passed away on May 23, 2023, just a few days after mother's day, and the morning after getting to virtually hear Bobbie perform a concert to thousands in Downtown Columbus, with Harmony Community Chorus.

2021-2023: Living in Columbus

Just 2.5 weeks after Becky's passing, Bobbie, Ian, and Willow moved to Pittsburgh into a duplex overlooking the Pittsburgh valley with a beautiful, scenic, view of Pittsburgh and the Monongahela River. The couple continued to work through the immense feelings from losing Becky and moving to a brand new state and city, one where the pair knew no one. After months of exploring nature and the city around Pittsburgh, the pair finally felt ready to call it home, even discussing the possibility of staying long-term. On Christmas Eve of 2023, with many of their family and friends at their side, Ian asked Bobbie to marry him. Bobbie quickly agreed and scurried away for the 2nd surprise of the evening -- her counter-proposal with the ring she had purchased almost a year prior. And there you have it -- Willow's parents were officially engaged. 2024 consisted of more city exploration, re-discovering passions, Bobbie's 3rd attempt at applying for Doctoral programs, and lots of Wedding Planning. -- We're only a few months into 2025 and we already know that this is going to be an amazing year - for many more reasons than just our wedding.

2023-2025: Living in Pittsburgh

A week after the wedding, we will be setting off for a week-long Norwegian Cruise through Greece and Turkey! Soon after arriving back to the US we will be packing up and moving... To Memphis, Tennessee! Bobbie was officially accepted to the University of Memphis's Counseling Psychology PhD Program. We are very excited (and also somewhat stressed) to move to another new state! Thankfully, this time we can guarantee we'll be there for at least the first 4 years of Bobbie's program. We hope to purchase our first home together possibly by 2026! We have no idea how our lives will morph and change after 2025, but we are so happy to have all of you along for the ride!

Bobbie works at the University of Pittsburgh as a Project Coordinator on a longitudinal randomized control trial, aimed at testing the efficacy of a home-based family intervention called the Family Check Up. Bobbie plans to attend a Counseling Psychology PhD Program this Fall with the intent to become an activist-scholar-practitioner! She hopes to study multi-marginalized queer communities and improve the wellbeing of underserved communities. In her ~limited~ free time, Bobbie cat sits, gardens, and sings in a queer choir in Pittsburgh. 

Bobbie 

Ian works as a Software Engineer for Dublin, OH-based G2O, focusing on making accessible websites for the State of Ohio. Ian, like Bobbie, graduated from Miami University and received his degree in computer science. During his time at Miami, he discovered a passion for creating ADA-compliant and user-friendly websites. Outside of his professional life, Ian enjoys playing videogames and tabletop games with his friends -  especially World of Warcraft and Dungeons & Dragons. Ian is always looking for new games and loves introducing others to gaming as well. 

Nick is Bobbie's sibling and often, her shadow. Nick and Bobbie spent their childhood arguing but became increasingly close in their teen years. They now stay in near-constant contact with a bond hard to explain. If you spend any time with the pair, you are likely to get lost as they joke back-and-forth in that way that only siblings do. Nick studied Video Game Design at Bobbie & Ian's alma mater and now works part-time as a barista while taking care of his kitty, Tamago, in Bellevue, Ohio. In his free time, he enjoys gaming, learning about paleontology, and music -  performance, composition, and listening.

Tyler and Ian met their senior year of high school when Tyler was invited to a game night with Ian and some mutual friends. They quickly became close friends and joined their mutual friend group in late night gaming sessions and 2am trips to Steak and Shake. The two even took a 13 hour road trip to visit a friend who lived in Canada for a week. Tyler is a diesel mechanic who works on heavy equipment and trailers during the day, and goes home to watch football and play video games with his wife Tiffany and friends. Tyler and his wife live in Orient, OH with their two cats Buddy and Olaf.

Mady and Bobbie met days after arriving on Miami University's campus in 2017. They bonded over being a bit too obsessed with boys (thank goodness they grew out of that!) and always getting into chaos around their dorm and across Oxford. Fun fact: Mady and Bobbie have the same birthday, born 365 days apart! Mady currently attends NYU in New York City and will finish up her Doctorate in French over the next year. She's soon-to-be Dr. Neal! Her research focuses primarily on gender, temporality, the body, the voice, the Other, the production of sensation and the senses, and space, as well as all the societal frameworks that limit and define them.

Mady

Avry and Ian met in 8th grade health class when the two were paired together for a project. They quickly bonded over their love of videogames, and have been close friends ever since. They spent the rest of middle and high school going to each other's houses with their mutual friends, gaming late into the night, and going to Steak and Shake at 2am. In 2016, Avry enlisted in the United States Army, and served 4 years in Kuwait, and later Alabama. After finishing his service, Avry rejoined civilian life and put the skills he learned in the Army to use in Human Resources and Managerial roles. He currently lives in Columbus, OH with his childhood friend (and fellow groomsman) Garrin Bachinksi.

Bobbie and Becca met at Miami University initially just for Becca to sell Bobbie a Statistics Book. The following semester, however, Becca began working at King Cafe with Bobbie and became known as "Becca Breen the Cafe Queen". The pair became closer over the next few semesters and then moved in together their Junior and Senior years. Bobbie and Becca had many late nights watching shows, panicking about school, and playing with their roommate's cat, Mandrake. Today, Becca lives in Perrysburg, OH with her fiancé, Adam, and pup, Stanley. She graduated with her Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and currently practices as an SLP at Promedia in Fostoria. 

Becca

Garrin and Ian met when Avry invited the two over to his house not too long after Ian and Avry became friends. The two bonded over gaming, and from then on Garrin joined in on the fun whenever he could, despite not attending the same high school as the others. Garrin attended Wittenberg University, earning a BS in Biology as well as an MA in Athletic Coaching. He then attended Grant Medical Center to become an EMT, and currently works for Medcare Ambulance. He also plans to complete additional certifications and classes to become a paramedic. Garrin currently lives in Columbus, OH with his childhood friend Avry, his fiance Kenzie and their cat Frenchie.

Rozie is actually one of Nick's best friends from middle/high school. However, as Nick and Rozie got closer, so did Bobbie and Rozie. After only a few years, Rozie felt like another sibling to Bobbie. They, like Bobbie and Nick, were in most of the same extracurriculars - both inside and outside of their school (AOSFYC & IORG). Today, Rozie lives in Bowling Green with her 2 cats, Stevie and Stink. She's currently an event specialist in Toledo, OH and looks forward to learning more about the event planning industry in the future. Rozie also has an interest in Sports Psychology and looks forward to exploring that field in the future.

Lexi and Bobbie have known each other since early elementary school, but only became close at the tail-end of jr high. The pair traveled to Mexico for their senior class trip and even randomly connected while both in Washington DC for college trips! They love cheering, singing, and laughing with each other. Today, Lexi lives in Fredericktown, OH with her husband, Tyler (who has the same birthday as Ian), her son, Maddux, her daughter Teagan, and orange kitty, Obie. She currently works remotely as an independent contractor and is attending Liberty University, finishing up her Associate's degree in Business. Lexi and her husband will be welcoming a baby girl to their family in August 2025!

Lexi

Meet Willow, Bobbie & Ian's adopted "child". The pair adopted Willow in September of 2021 and she quickly had their hearts. Known for laying on her back and begging for treats, the 10-year-old spends her days sleeping, eating, and yelling at the couple. While she will not attend the wedding, you will see her presence. Willow lost her eye in October 2022 to an infection, but luckily she's a silly goofy orange girl and barely noticed the loss. In August 2024, Willow was diagnosed with small cell lymphoma of the digestive tract but is currently happy and healthy(ish) while completing chemotherapy.
