This 3ish mile private hiking trail takes you to the bench where we got engaged (awwwwwww)! Park at the Jones house (2202 Hamilton Creek rd.) and walk to the coordinates to start the hike (please do not park on the street at the trail head!). Do not forget bear/wasp spray and don't hike alone unless you've been on this trail before.

This place is amazing. It's an hour drive North from Silverthorne, but it's worth the drive and only $26 for a day pass.

One of the most beautiful scenic views in Colorado! This lead and zinc-mining town was abandoned in 1984 due to ground-water contamination. It's private property, but you can look at it from the scenic overlook. On the way there, you get to drive through Vail and Minturn, which is a quaint lil mountain town with one of the best thrift stores ever (Holy Toledo).
