Taylor and Brad first met at the start of their post-graduate careers on their first day working together in February of 2019. Brad having relocated to Louisville from his hometown in LaGrange, Georgia after graduating from the University of West Georgia was smitten with an ambitious Taylor who had recently graduated from the University of Kentucky and moved back to her hometown.

Brad was surprised to learn how important college basketball is in Kentucky and decided to bet Taylor that his team— The Auburn Tigers were going to beat her Wildcats in basketball. At the time Auburn had never been good at basketball so Brad was pretty sure he’d end up on the losing side of the bet which turned out to be true that time, but Auburn returned the favor and put the Cats out in the Elite 8 just a few weeks later. That bet did start more dialogue between the two that would blossom from there.

They spent a lot of time together with other friends watching those games after work somewhere that would become a special place to them. They have continued to make a lot of memories here and shortly after the madness that was that March they began dating in April of that same year.

Shortly after moving in together and adopting their precious dog Wilson in March of 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic stuck both of them working from home with a puppy. It was a crazy time that is so fun for them to look back and remember those early days of adjusting to life together while growing in their careers.

Shortly after the couple bought their first home together, Brad proposed on April 1, 2023 at The Red River Gorge Princess Arch Trail just a couple of days before the couple celebrated their fourth dating anniversary. Taylor– noticing that Brad kept fixing his hair and brought a Selfie Stick for photos had a suspicion that something was up. Brad forgot how to talk and had to be reminded by Taylor to speak. She said yes and the couple landed on a date.
