The year is 2021, and Covid is still running rampant. Bars and restaurants were starting to re-open, which was very exciting for me and my friends!

One of my friends, Sarah, wanted to go out and celebrate her birthday in early February. A few weeks before we had all gone to Deep Sushi then to a piano bar across the street called Louie Louie's. None of us had been to this bar before and we all had a blast listening to the live music and singing at the top of our lungs. So much fun that my friend Sarah wanted to go back for her birthday!

We all go out to dinner for her birthday then head to Louie Louie's after in hopes that they would drag her up on stage and sing for her birthday!

While we were there I was having the time of my life and in my element. My friend Lauren looks at me and says, "Maria, I think you're gonna meet your husband here."

Then I noticed a really good looking guy on the drums. Drinks were flowin and I worked up the courage to write him a note. (This is how you request songs at a piano bar). On the note I wrote, "Who's the drummer? He's hot". I slapped the note onto the piano and, my now friend, Amanda says "Hey Brandon, one of those girls over there thinks you're hot". Well its me and about 6 other girls, so he wasn't sure who it was. Being the handsome guy he is, he gets notes like this all the time and didn't think much of it. Time went on and he didn't come up and talk to me. So with a little more liquid courage, I wrote another note. This one said, "whats a girl gotta do?" and I gave it to Amanda again. Amanda then realized my desperation to talk to this guy and introduced us. And well...the rest was history!
