Bryce and Brandon’s story began with a casual drink at a local bar, but by date three, things were getting serious—especially when Brandon cooked dinner for Bryce, sealing the deal in Bryce’s mind that this was something special. From the beginning, they were drawn to each other’s shared Midwest roots, strong values, and ambition in their careers. They quickly discovered a love for traveling to warm destinations, trying new restaurants, and spending quality time together—whether that’s watching their favorite shows, working on Lego sets (Brandon takes this very seriously), or making each other laugh. They love to spend time in each other's company. The proposal was nothing short of a perfectly executed surprise. While celebrating Christmas with Brandon’s family in Kansas, Bryce was led through a series of mysterious gifts—each hinting at their future together. Was it a puppy? A house? What was happening? Turns out, the final gift wasn’t a pet, but a beautiful ring in a Lego-built Christmas box, and the moment Brandon asked Bryce to be his husband. With Bryce’s tearful “yes,” their next big adventure began. Well… a puppy did come into their lives a little later. Enter Leo, their high-energy, toy-destroying, cuddle-loving Mini Bernedoodle. Leo is the undisputed ruler of their home, keeping his dads on their toes and ensuring that no chew toy survives longer than a few days. Whether he’s out on a walk, playing fetch, or stealing all the attention, he’s a huge part of their little family. In 2020, they spent a couple of months at Bryce’s parents’ condo in Southwest Florida during the pandemic, solidifying their love for the warm weather and laid-back lifestyle. When it came time to pick a wedding destination, Florida felt like the perfect place to celebrate, especially since many of their guests would be traveling anyway. They also loved the idea of a whole weekend spent with all their favorite people together in one place. Beyond their love for good food, great company, and the occasional theme park getaway (yes, Disney and Universal will be included in Part 1 of their honeymoon!), their relationship is full of quirks. Brandon is the handy one (thanks to his dad), while Bryce had a crash course in home renovations when they took on a major condo project together. If they could survive that, then they could survive just about anything together. Brandon is creative and thoughtful, while Bryce keeps things lively with his quick wit and high social energy. Through all of life’s twists and turns, one thing is certain—they are each other’s person. And now, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with their favorite people.
