We met while camping out at a protest, one of those long days where everyone seemed to cross paths more than once. After running into each other a few times, Garrett finally stopped Brandon and said, “Hey, I think I know you.” Turns out, that was the start of something.

Brandon thought Garrett was bold and creative, someone who stood firm in what they believed. Garrett thought Brandon was cute, a little shy, and easy to be around. That was back in the summer of 2020, and we’ve pretty much been inseparable since.

Somehow, we balance each other out, we do everything together, and it still never feels like too much. Our relationship is equal parts understanding, ridiculous, and warm.
