Our Wedding

We met while camping out at a protest, one of those long days where everyone seemed to cross paths more than once. After running into each other a few times, Garrett finally stopped Brandon and said, “Hey, I think I know you.” Turns out, that was the start of something. Brandon thought Garrett was bold and creative, someone who stood firm in what they believed. Garrett thought Brandon was cute, a little shy, and easy to be around. That was back in the summer of 2020, and we’ve pretty much been inseparable since. Somehow, we balance each other out, we do everything together, and it still never feels like too much. Our relationship is equal parts understanding, ridiculous, and warm. Brandon proposed in Lisbon at sunset lookout pointe, with a guitar playing in the background. It was simple and perfect.

Getting to Gulf Shores   Pensacola, FL is going to be the closest airport. From there you can uber to Gulf Shores, AL or rent a car from the airport. Gulf Shores now has a small airport, and you might be able to find a flight there, but no promises.   We have provided some hotel options, but I would also look into condo rentals or AirBnBs in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores. Keep in mind this is during Spring Break season so I would suggest making your accommodations as soon as possible.  Can’t wait to celebrate with yall!

This 3-star hotel offers a 24-hour front desk. The hotel has family rooms. The rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer. A buffet, continental or American breakfast is served at the property. Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo is a 11-minute walk from Hampton Inn Gulf Shores, while Gulf State Park Fishing Pier is 3 miles from the property. Pensacola Regional Airport is 41 miles away.

The resort is less than 10 minutes’ drive from Gulf State Park. A microwave and refrigerator are included in every traditional room. Beachside Resort Hotel is less than 2 mi from several dining options and shopping centers. Shelby Lake is less than 5 minutes’ drive away.

Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge encompasses some of Alabama’s last remaining undisturbed coastal barrier habitat. The name Bon Secour comes from the French meaning “safe harbor,” very appropriate considering the sanctuary for native flora and fauna the refuge provides. As the surrounding area becomes increasingly developed, Bon Secour is indeed a natural oasis of wildlands, where wildlife can exist without harm.

The Gulf Shores West Beach area is known for its wide, less crowded shoreline and family-friendly atmosphere, offering a tranquil alternative to the busier sections of the city.

Where should I fly into? Pensacola, FL is going to be the closest airport. From there you can uber to Gulf Shores, AL or rent a car from the airport. Gulf Shores now has a small airport, and you might be able to find a flight there, but no promises. Can I bring a plus one? The more , the merrier! Just make sure to add them during your RSVP so we can accommodate. Can I bring my kids? Absolutely! Is there a hotel block? No, we wanted to leave the option on where to stay up to you! We provided some hotel options on the travel page. Bigger parties might want to look into condo rentals because they sleep 6-12 people depending. Is there parking at the beach house? Limited parking there, but you can along Brigadoon Trail on the side of the road. Who should I contact if I have additional questions?
