Q + A

When should I book by?

We recommend looking into flights between March and July 2025. Flights to Poland are typically published a year before the travel date. You can purchase tickets through search engine apps like Hopper and Skyscanner, or directly through the airline.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Polish wedding attire is similar to U.S. weddings. Kindly reserve white for the bride. We ask that you save jeans and sneakers for sightseeing.

Should I bring a gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you'd like to contribute to our future together, a monetary gift would be greatly appreciated. We're excited to start our new life together and can't wait to share our adventures with you!

What do I need to travel?

Make sure your passport is valid at least until March 2026. For international travel, your passport must be valid for 6 months after the intended travel. You may be unable to board a plane if your passport expires before March 2026. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for tourism under 90 days.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Our wedding venue is located in Toruń's Old Town. It is walking distance from any point of the Old Town. You may also use ride share or taxi services, as well as public transportation.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

We ask that only those who were named in the invitation attend the wedding. We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

What is the weather like in Poland?

Just like Michigan, Polish summers are warm during the day and cool at night, so we recommend a light wrap to cover bare shoulders at night.

Will there be an open bar?

You know us! And we ask you to take a full advantage of it. Wine will we available at the table while beer and liquors will be available at the bar stand.

Are there any cultural traditions or best practices guests should be aware of?

Polish weddings are a joyous celebration filled with an abundance of food, drinks, and of course, dancing. Don't be shy! Embrace the opportunity to connect with both sides of the family. A translation app may prove a particularly valuable companion.

I have some food allergies, what should I do?

Please let us know as soon as possible to ensure the chefs can accommodate your dietary restrictions.
