Our Wedding

For some of you, it may come as a surprise—or perhaps not—but we are finally tying the knot! We met fifteen years ago, and as we look back, we wouldn’t change a single step that brought us to this moment, no matter how long it took. From the very beginning, we’ve been a team. Together, we’ve moved across the country and back, built a family, and watched it grow. Through all the successes and setbacks, we’ve supported and encouraged each other to become the best versions of ourselves. We are incredibly grateful to have found one another and are thrilled to celebrate the start of this new chapter (officially!) with the people we love most.

Lyndsey and I have been friends since 6th grade, navigating the awkward preteen years together and creating countless memories of late '90s and early 2000s trends (Spice Girls, anyone?). While I was shy and introverted, Lyndsey was the outgoing spark I needed—encouraging me to go to that dance or helping me make new friends. We spent much of high school walking for hours through her maze-like neighborhood, chatting about everything. When we got our licenses, we’d drive around trying to get lost, just to see if we could find our way back home.
As adults, our friendship has deepened. We've learned so much about each other, gaining a better understanding of our youth and continuing to be solid foundations for one another as mothers, career-driven individuals, and lifelong friends. Thank you for standing by my side on my wedding day. I love you!

Lyndsey Winfield

Samantha and I met by chance during college when I attended a party she was hosting as a +1. We quickly became close friends, and from that point on, Friday nights at Sam's were a staple in my life. I’ve always admired her tenacity—she knows what she wants and makes a plan to achieve it. Her knack for organizing has been a gift to everyone in her life, especially during group trips like our white-water rafting adventure in West Virginia. Samantha planned every detail, from the campground to the rafting company to the week’s menu. All we had to do was pay our share and show up.
As we grew older, Samantha was there for me when I became a new mother. Even when work and life took us to different states, we made it a priority to visit each other. Though we’re still separated by distance, I love you so much and am so grateful to have you by my side on my wedding day.

Nancy is my big sister, and like many siblings, our relationship has had its ups and downs. As the younger sibling, I made it my mission to stir up chaos. We were opposites in nearly every way—our shared room was even split between pink and blue! But as we grew older, we learned to appreciate both our differences and our shared traits.
We’re both artistic in our own fields (though Nancy’s skills are far more refined), devoted to our faith, and committed to personal growth. We love our families fiercely and would do anything for them. Coincidentally, we both married men whose last names are hilariously close to our maiden name. Despite our bond, one thing hasn’t changed: our distinct styles. We’ve never had to fight over borrowing clothes or worry about CDs mysteriously vanishing (you can keep all the Creed, lol).

From the moment I met Mike in high school, I knew two things: 1) This guy was going to get me into trouble, and 2) I was 100% here for it. From surviving the chaos of college dorms, the madness of the fraternity house on Sherman, and even his brief residency in my basement, Mike has been more than just a best friend—he’s been a brother. 

His loyalty is unmatched, his humor is entertaining and his friendship has been a constant through every poor life decision we've made together.

Michael Macalush has always had my back, even when I probably didn’t deserve it, and I couldn’t imagine this day without him by my side—mostly to make sure I don’t trip walking down the aisle.

Aiden Maier

David and I met in Phi Kappa Tau at Kent State, where we quickly bonded over bad decisions, late-night fast-food runs, and a shared talent for barely making it to class on time. Whether it was epic road trips, legendary (and questionably legal) parties, or attempting to convince everyone that Mario Kart is a real sport, he’s been a a great friend and brother!

Despite his best efforts to corrupt me, I somehow made it to the altar—though I’m sure he’s still shocked that I found someone willing to marry me. He’s the kind of guy who will bring the fun, probably embarrass me in his speech, and definitely be the last one on the dance floor.

Let’s just hope he doesn’t start a keg stand contest at the reception.

David Meyer "Hobbles"

If there’s one person who’s been there through it all, it’s AJ—mostly because he somehow kept following me wherever I went. From the fraternity house to post-college living, he even took over my old room "Passion Cove" in the frat house like he was inheriting a family estate.  He is my twin!

Over the years, we’ve shared a roof, way too many late-night crazy food orders, and enough ridiculous memories to fill an entire season of a reality show.  From wing night at the Islander, $2 steak night, our  Rockband group the Hasbrowns with the housewives, every night was an adventure together!

Through it all, AJ] has been a brother in every sense—loyal, hilarious, and always up for one more beer (even when he definitely shouldn’t be). I couldn’t imagine this day without him, and honestly, I’m a little surprised he doesn't just move in with me and Brenda after this.

A.J. Meyer

When I joined Phi kappa Tau, I never imagined that one day Jim would be the one officiating my wedding—mostly because I’ve seen him struggle to give a toast without roasting someone. Yet, here we are, trusting him with one of the most important moments of our lives.

From wild fraternity Jim has always been a great brother—loyal, hilarious, and somehow now legally allowed to marry people. 

We’re honored to have him lead our ceremony, and we just hope he remembers this is a wedding, not a roast.
