Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a 33,000-acre park in Ohio that's home to a variety of plant and animal species, and offers a variety of activities for visitors:

Location: The park is located between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio.

Features: The park includes the Cuyahoga River, forests, wetlands, grasslands, farmlands, historic buildings, and waterfalls.

Activities: Visitors can hike, bike, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and more. The park also offers a scenic railway, nature tours, and programs for children.

Wildlife: The park is home to deer, coyotes, and around 250 species of birds. Other animals include beavers and river otters.

Plant life: The park has a wide variety of plant species, including some rare species.

History: The park was built on a grassroots campaign by concerned citizens who wanted to protect the valley from the effects of industrialization.

Restoration: The park was heavily polluted, but restoration efforts began in 1987 and were completed by 2015.

Sister park: In 2024, Cuyahoga Valley National Park entered into a "sister park" agreement with Dartmoor National Park in Devon, England.

Accessibility: The park is good for kids and offers kid-friendly hikes.
