Closest airports are Telluride regional, Montrose, Cortez, Durango. Telluride Regional Airport (TEX) is a small airport just 10 minutes from the heart of Telluride with limited flights (some direct and connect through Denver). The commuter flight is on Keylime air. If you prefer to avoid shuttle and fly directly into Telluride then check flights via Keylime at https://denverairconnection.com/ . If none are available look into flights from Denver to Telluride on this site. Otherwise you must fly into another airport and drive/shuttle. Montrose (1.5 hour drive, shuttle), Durango (2 hour drive, requires rental car), cortez (1.5hr drive, shuttle).
Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) is the largest close airport and is a scenic 65 miles away. Several transportation companies provide service from Telluride to Montrose (see Telluride Express option below).

there are tons of rental options in downtown telluride and mountain village. We found air bnb fees to be crazy so if you find a place you like reach out to the property manager (Avantstay, Vacasa, Invited Home, Open Oasis, etc) directly to avoid air bnb booking fees.
