Although we went to school with each other beginning in preschool, our story first began when we officially met each other in junior high through FCA and choir. It wasn’t until our freshman year of high school in 2015, however, that we became close friends in science class. We shared many classes and mutual friends, which led us to have lunch together everyday.

We shared many choir concerts together as well as early breakfast runs at Hardee’s before school. We sang in the same choir and ensemble for three years! We then attended our junior and senior proms with each other and created many fun memories! We officially started dating in March 2019, our senior year of high school, after we watched The Lion King musical with each other—after all we loved all things choir-related!

We then made the big move from our hometowns of Lebanon and Marshfield to Springfield to begin college! We were very blessed that MSU and Drury were only 5 minutes apart from each other, and our story continued throughout our college careers as we pursued our degrees in Business Management and Biochemistry. We shared many date nights and study sessions while also attending Finley River Boys and Psychobilly Cadillac’s shows!

We then graduated college in May 2023 and decided to stay in Springfield. Brett started his full-time career, while Maddie decided to continue her education at Drury in the Physician Assistant program. We continued spending time together, making countless memories, and planning for our future together. In September 2024, we joined High Street Baptist Church in Springfield, which strengthened our relationship with God and each other!

After six years together, on June 26, 2025 after a lovely walk in the park, Italian dinner, and surprise photography session, we got engaged, and we have been planning our special day ever since!

We are very much looking forward to celebrating our story with all of our loved ones and cannot thank you all enough for your guidance, encouragement, and support throughout our relationship and now as we embark on our next journey as soon-to-be husband and wife!
