What time should guests arrive?

The venue will be open to guests starting at 4:00 pm and the ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 pm. If driving yourself, please allow time for potential traffic on i70 and finding your seats.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is cocktail attire. Suits, formal jumpsuits and cocktail dresses (knee length or longer), are all welcome.

What is the weather like in August in CO?

August in Colorado typically features warm, sunny days with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit. Evenings can be cooler, often dropping into the 50s or 60s. Our venue has outdoor heaters if it becomes too chilly.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is plenty of parking. However, cars are not permitted to park overnight. Please note that due to the location of our venue, we cannot promise the reliability of Ubers.

Are there any accommodations nearby?

Yes, in addition to what we have recommended in the "Travel" tab, there are plenty of other options at various price points. Idaho Springs is the closest town to our venue followed by Evergreen and Georgetown.

Will the ceremony/ reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held outdoors. The reception is held underneath a spacious tent, allowing us to appreciate the scenery. While the tent and ceremony area are paved, the cocktail hour has some uneven surfaces. Please keep this in mind when choosing footwear.

How do I prepare for the altitude?

Our venue is located at 8200 feet (2500 meters for our Belgian guests), over a mile above sea level. We encourage guests who are coming from lower elevations to drink plenty of water before and during their trip to Colorado. It typically takes a couple of days to acclimate to more strenuous activities. Keep in mind that alcohol has a higher impact at higher altitudes, so you will most likely feel effects more quickly than usual.
