Sky’d be falling

Picture of Sky’d be falling

If the world was ending you’d come over right?

You’d come over and you’d stay the night.

Sky’d be falling while I hold you tight.

When the world was falling apart, we were busy falling in love. The year of 2020 forever shaped and transformed the lives of so many people around the globe. Our family, our friends, our loved ones, and our adventures.

In an instant, the life that we had always known was altered and forever changed.

For what felt like a scary and slow eternity, the world shut down and became quiet for a bit.

At the world’s most vulnerable, Bri spent long nights talking to her heart about Cody James.

This was the year they decided to make their house a home.

The year Cody courageously took on the role of step dad to their son Kase.

The year laughter and light was brought into their home and heart.

The year they knew one day they would call each other “mine” forever.

Cody and Bri first met at a February rave in Houston in 2019. To this day they wonder,

if they had ever crossed paths before? No one is for certain. But that night was different.

After a tired night of dancing, they met by chance. While the memory is short, it changed the rest of their lives..

And the rest of their story. That night, Bri remembers offering Cody some water and striking up a conversation with his friend, Arving. Something she had done at shows at least 100 times.

Meeting new people and bonding over their love for music had always been daringly beautiful to her.

When they parted ways, she stayed connected to his friend for a few weeks. And then came an effortless connection…

Within a month’s time their information was exchanged and they started planning their next meet up.

By that March they had become inseparable. Texting, calling, laughing, music, secrets and beautiful chaos.

And suddenly all the songs were about you.

I didn’t fall in love when I found you.

I fell in love with what I found in you.

They say when you meet the one who changes the way your heart beats, you should dance to that rhythm for as long as the song lasts… and my love, may that song last forever.
