There are many different airlines to fly to Rio de Janeiro. Please keep in mind that that are no direct flights from LAX to Rio and you will most likely stop in Miami, Houston or Panama City.

Brazilian Visa
Brazil requires an e-visa for short-term stays for US citizens. The Brazil e-Visa can be easily obtained online, using the website tagged in this section.
The application is straightforward and easy to complete. It can be issued in as little as 5 business days (Monday - Friday) and is a cost-effective option ($81 per person). The Brazil e-Visa will be processed and issued electronically by email.
IMPORTANT: If you are an American citizen, you will not be able to travel to Brazil without the e-visa.

This is an excellent option for those who want to stay in a high end hotel in Copacabana beach, Rio de Janeiro. It is the most well known hotel in the city. Beachfront and central location, this is a 5 star hotel.

There are so many beautiful AirBnbs in Rio, if you don't want to stay in a hotel, I would consider this option as well. We recommend staying in the tourist areas (and neighborhoods) like Copacabana and Ipanema.
