Our Wedding

Our story began on New Years Day of 2022. We met at a bar called The Retreat for our first date and immediately hit it off. We are both shy by nature, but slowly we realized we had quite a bit in common, so talking became easy over time. Over time, we became closer and built up trust. We've experienced a bit of what life has to offer in the four years we've been together. We keep up with dates by going out to nice dinners, attending the renaissance fair in the summer time, enjoying Taste of Syracuse or any other food truck event, and going to orchestra concerts. We've embarked on a few vacations as well. Mostly consisting of relaxing on cruises and the occasional theme park adventure. But with all of the outings, we are mostly homebodies. We spend most nights together, cuddled up on the couch with our dog Mabel, catching up on drama series, anime, or movies. One of our earliest series we bonded over was Whose Line is it Anyway. We are extremely competitive Mario Party players, and support each others individual playthroughs of a multitude of RPGs. As all of those memories have accumulated, we arrive at the proposal. Brian took me out to Touché for dinner, and we coincidentally reminisced about our early stages of the relationship. It was a lovely dinner, and contrary to what you are thinking, no, he did not propose at the restaurant. We returned back home, and as I opened the door, Mabel greeted us as usual, but wearing her collar. Which was weird because she never wears one in the house. I came to realize there was satchel of sorts hanging off of the collar with our initials on it. Being so confused and caught off guard, Brian unhooked it, got down on one knee, and opened it. It was the ring I've always dreamed of, made by the jeweler I love. And long story short, he asked and, through tears, and I said "yes!" And here we are today, planning our wedding!We can't wait to celebrate our love and commitment to each other with all of you, our friends and family. See you there!

After speaking with several attendees, we have decided to cancel the shuttle to and from the hotel at Auburn. Skaneateles fields resort still provides shuttles to and from the lodge free of charge and we don't think we have enough guests staying at auburn to justify the cost. Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused!

Skaneateles Fields is a brand new resort that just opened in September 2025 right across the street from the Lodge. If you are feeling ambitious, you can try to walk there to and from the venue, its about half a mile uphill on the way back. They have a 2 night minimum. We have 20 rooms in this block. Rooms are held up to 60 days before wedding date, after that they are released back to the hotel. You can also try to book a single night outside of the block, but from what the hotel has told us, they always have 2 night minimum for this time of year. UPDATE: It now looks like you can book single nights outside of the block

Skaneateles Fields Resort & Spa, Curio Collection by Hilton

This hotel is about 17 minutes away from the venue. The wedding block requires a 2 night minimum, but you can also try to book outside of the block for a single night. Blocked rooms are held up to 60 days before wedding date, after that they are released back to the hotel.

Hilton Garden Inn Auburn

If you decide not to stay at one of these hotels, there are several boutique hotels available in downtown Skaneateles. There are also several options for local Air BNBs. Note that you will have to arrange your own travel if you decide to go this route.

Travel

Skaneateles has a beautiful walkable downtown with lots of shops, restaurants, and local boutique stores. You can even take a cruise on the lake on the local tour boats.
