Brian and Roland are working to put together a night out in Edinburgh for guests who will arrive on or before Thursday October 10th. Tentative plans include a bar/pub hop and hen do/stag party (British bachelor/bachelorette) activities.

Guests are welcome to join part or all of the festivities expected to begin around 8:00pm at a TBD location.

The Schloss Roxburghe offers a dedicated country sports team. Brian have Roland coordinated day after wedding activities with the hotel for guests who expressed interest in fly fishing, skeet shooting, or archery in their RSVP response.

Country sports are scheduled for 11:00am on Sunday, October 13th. Participating guests should meet in the lobby in advance.

Most room accommodations include access to the on-site hotel spa though guests should double check their booking. Those interested in supplemental treatments such as massages, facials, manicures, etc. should schedule directly with the spa staff.

The hotel venue offers an on-site golf course. Guests interested are encouraged to schedule a tee time directly with the hotel.

Edinburgh offers a wealth of historic sites and outdoor activities. Guests are encouraged to explore the city's old town with stops at Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood House, or hike Arthur's Seat, or shop the tweed and wool stores of the Royal Mile and Victoria streets.

Scotland is the home of scotch and Edinburgh offers the Johnnie Walker experience. Guests can schedule a scotch tasting while in the city before or after the wedding.

Step back in time and dine at the Witchery Edinburgh in their medieval or secret garden dining rooms. Often considered one of the best restaurants in the city and a personal favorite of Brian and Roland. Guests should make a reservation to guarantee seating.

Lunch and dinner will be provided the day of the wedding (October 12th). Guests are encouraged to coordinate dining on Friday the 11th and Sunday the 13th at one of the hotel's four restaurants and bars. The property includes the 1745 Bar which offers whiskey tasting in a library visited by British pretender to the throne Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Brian and Roland tentatively plan to host interested guests for a night cap on Friday the 11th post dinner arrangements.

The Schloss Roxburghe is a short drive or taxi ride from the borderland town of Kelso. Guests may want to go into town for a stop at a local restaurant or pub.

Guests seeking to explore Scotland beyond Edinburgh are encouraged to make arrangements to visit some of the country's many natural or cultural sites. Companies offer many day trip options from the city, or venture out on your own with a rental care.
