Welcome to our wedding website, we can't wait to celebrate our special day with you.&nbsp;&nbsp;We’ve created this website as a convenient way to share all of the important details with you.&nbsp;&nbsp;You can also read more about our love story, get to know our wedding party, look through pictures, and a bunch of other stuff. So have fun, take a look around and don’t forget to&nbsp;RSVP (again).&nbsp;&nbsp;Thank you for your ongoing love and support, we are so excited to share this day with you! Change The Date Announcement:

Although a hard one, the decision to postpone our wedding was made out of love and concern for the health and safety of our guests. We appreciate your understanding, endless support, and overwhelming love. We are looking forward to celebrating with you in August!

Colston and Bri met while they were students at Iowa State University. Bri was majoring in mechanical engineering and Colston was majoring in mathematics. Colston asked Bri out to dinner a few times before she finally agreed to go get ice cream together. On January 7th, 2017, Colston picked Bri up in his chick magnet, a 1994 oldsmobile with red leather interior, and they traveled to Coldstone Creamery. They sat at the corner table to eat their ice cream and talk. They got so caught up in their conversation that they didn't notice everyone had left and the workers were ready to lock up for the night. The Coldstone worker had to interrupt their conversation to tell the two that they needed to leave. In the weeks that followed, Bri and Colston were pretty much inseparable. On Valentine's Day of 2017 Colston asked Bri to be his girlfriend and she, of course, said yes!

In the beginning

Fast forward to a little over a year and a half later when Bri and Colston went on a vacation with her family to Italy. They spent two weeks exploring Capri, Pompei, Rome, Portovenere, Cinque Terre, Florence, and Venice. On the last day of the trip they hired a photographer to take some family photos. Colston had been talking to the photographer and had picked out a special bridge to pose for the last few photos on. At the end of the photo session, on the special bridge, Colston got down on one knee and asked Bri to marry him and she, of course, said yes!

The proposal

A few days after getting engaged, they moved halfway across the country to Washington D.C. where Colston started his wrestling season at his new school, GMU. Bri began her masters degree coursework and they adopted their Russian Blue cat, Lio. Colston went on to compete at the NCAA tournament and finished the season with the second most pins in the NCAA DI. Bri graduated with her master of engineering in mechanical engineering then started an engineering position at Alpine Armoring. Colston just finished his final wrestling season where&nbsp;he qualified for the NCAA tournament at the 149 pound weight class.&nbsp;He&nbsp;will graduate with his mathematics degree in May and immediately start his master of education program through Iowa State. Bri is still working at Alpine Armoring where she designs armored vehicles. Colston asked Bri if they could be done writing about their&nbsp;story and she, of course, said yes!

Paxton is my older brother and my best man. He is a first grade teacher at Brookside Charter School. He is also working to complete his masters degree in Education. Paxton's smile is contagious and he has been working crowds since he was in diapers. They say you can't pick your family, but I am happy to call him my brother. He has been a part of some of my fondest memories and biggest challenges. We can go weeks with barely talking and then pick back up right where we left off. He is one of my biggest role models and I wouldn't be the man that I am today without his guidance. I am happy to have you by my side on my wedding day.

Paxton DiBlasi

Kayla is my little sister and maid of honor. We share an obsession for cats and a love for traveling anywhere that requires packing a swimsuit. She will finish up her undergrad degree in Biology a year early and will graduate from Iowa State&nbsp;the weekend before the wedding. She has&nbsp;plans to continue her education to&nbsp;become a dentist or dermatologist or something else super cool. I love shopping with Kayla because she is honest about what looks good or bad.&nbsp;This is a public apology&nbsp;&nbsp;for being the slowest at trying on clothes. Please keep taking me to the mall with you!&nbsp;The older we get, the more I realize how lucky I&nbsp;am to have her as my sister and friend.

Kayla Grenier

Weston is my younger brother. His is currently a Sophomore at Mizzou. Weston is the coolest one out of my brothers. He is always doing fun stuff and looking good while he is doing it. He is also the most wild of all of my brothers, but at the same time, he is one of the most thoughtful people I have ever met.  He has an unmistakably huge heart and is an easy person to talk to. He is one of the first people offering to help out with anything you need. Weston is definitely not one of the groomsmen to be underestimated and I am sure that he will make this day extra special.

Weston DiBlasi

Doro&nbsp;and I met freshman year at Iowa State when we were assigned to be random roommates in Helser Hall. We immediately became best friends and did everything together.&nbsp;After college, Doro became a project manager in the Des Moines area and had two “fur-babies” named Chloe and Cooper. At the very end of 2018&nbsp;Mitch&nbsp;proposed&nbsp;to Doro, and&nbsp;they are also planning a wedding for the summer of 2020! Mitch and Doro bought their first&nbsp;home this year&nbsp;and since&nbsp;it's&nbsp;not&nbsp;socially acceptable to still be roommates after we are both married, you'll have to&nbsp;let me know when the house next door goes up for sale.

Dorothy Weaver

Grayston is my youngest brother. He is a junior at Park Hill High School. He may be younger than me, but he is bigger and will be taller than me soon. I honestly don’t know where the time went with this kid. I remember him as a baby and now it seems like every day he is growing more and more. Every single day I am more impressed with the man Grayston has become and I am excited to watch as he continues to grow. I am thrilled to have Grayston as a part of my wedding party.

I have known Sarah since I was born. In order to explain our friendship I would need&nbsp;an extensive and embarrassing&nbsp;slideshow presentation. When we were younger, Sarah, Kayla, Abby (Sarah’s sister) and I were an inseparable and&nbsp;dangerous combination. I’m still not sure how my mom and momma D handled all of us at once. This description doesn't do Sarah justice, but she is fun, spontaneous, kind, and the life of the party. Even after 24 years together I still can't&nbsp;predict some of her actions and always have to be ready for her bizarre stories.&nbsp;On top of being one of the most interesting people I know, she is also very smart and currently&nbsp;attends law school in Minnesota.

Sarah Yaske

Jessica has been one of&nbsp;my best friends for my whole life and we have gone through just about everything by each other’s sides.&nbsp;Jess is so thoughtful and always makes me feel loved even though we unfortunately don't live close enough to hang out all the time. She got engaged to Kyle last summer and they are also planning a wedding for the summer of 2020. There is just something truly magical about planning your wedding at the same time as your best friend! They recently made the move back to Iowa (I’m so jealous) and bought their first home which is&nbsp;impeccably decorated.&nbsp;They also have an adorable puppy Renner.

Jessica Ragusin

Canten is one of my best friends from high school. He graduates from Mizzou in May and plans to go to law school. He definitely adds to the laughter and excitement with this group and may be the most level-headed out of the bunch. No matter how far away we are, we always stay in touch. It really doesn't matter how much time has passed because we always just pick up where we left off. Some of my best memories were with Canten, at the Lake of the Ozarks, tubing, fishing, and just messing around. I am honored to have him share a part in our day.

Mik&nbsp;and I met during our freshman year at Iowa State where we lived just down the hall from each other in Helser. I tell people that Mik was my&nbsp;"third roommate” because Mik, Doro, and I spent every moment we were awake together.&nbsp;We used to have wine nights that consisted of snacks, wine, music, and human body part flashcards to help&nbsp;Mik&nbsp;prepare for her tests. She&nbsp;is still studying the human body&nbsp;in her graduate program at Palmer College of Chiropractic. Mik was the first one to come visit Colston and I after we moved to D.C. and we had an absolute blast exploring the city together!

Mikayla Cummings

Anthony (AKA Zero) is one of my best friends from college. He will be graduating from Iowa State in May. Zero and I hit it off from day one. He is the definition of a social butterfly. Zero is one of the main reasons why Bri and I met. Zero had a class with Bri and put in a good word for me and she finally agreed to go on a date with me after I asked her out 7 times. Zero is one of the nicest and most genuine people that you will ever meet and he would do anything for anyone in a heartbeat. Anthony is the life of the party and will definitely be a memorable part of our wedding day.

Nikki is also going to become a DiBlasi this year! She is marrying Paxton, Colston’s older brother, in October. She is almost done getting her PHD in civil and environmental engineering and earth sciences from Notre Dame. Over the years we have bonded over our love of cats, clever remarks, and Malbec. She also provides some of the best advice, especially about wedding planning!

Thank you for traveling all the way to Des Moines, Iowa for our wedding! We have rooms blocked at the Marriott Downtown and at The Hilton Des Moines Downtown. Both hotels are connected to The Tea Room via skywalk and and both hotels also provide shuttles to and from The Tea Room. The hotel shuttles will also provide transportation to and from the Des Moines airport. Uber and Lyft are popular in the area, and if you wish to drive there are many public parking garages that are connected to The Tea Room via skywalk.

Thank you for traveling all the way to West Des Moines, Iowa for our wedding! We have rooms blocked at the Hampton Inn and at Hotel Renovo. Both Hotels provide shuttles to and from our wedding celebration at NOAH’S Event Venue, but they are a first come first serve option and will end services at 10pm. Uber and Lyft are also very popular in the area and the venue will have ample parking if you wish to drive.

If you'd like to stay somewhere that we do not have a room block, there are more than 10 other hotel options that are all less than 10 minutes from NOAH’S Event Venue. There are also a few good Airbnb options in the area if you prefer homes over hotels.
