The Beginnings

Chandler and I met when I had just graduated high school, and he was in college. It was my first year at Wilmot Orchards in Orono, and Chandler had worked there for several years. In that first year, I think Chandler and I only worked in the booth together once. We made small talk while checking out customers, and I remember thinking he was very nice, cute and had an amazing smile. Then the blueberry season ended, and we both went back off to school. The following year, we didn't cross paths at Wilmot Orchards and went back to school.

The Good Part

Fast forward 5 years, Chandler replies to one of my Instagram stories. And that was only the beginning, we never stopped chatting since that day in February when he started the conversation. We planned our first date a couple times, but each time COVID-19 got in the way. Then 3 months later, Chandler took me to the farm on our first date to watch fireworks on the May long weekend. We spent the next few years going on dates, building our dream house, getting our dog, Rufus, and soaking up the time together.

I SAID YES

After almost 3 years of adventures and laughs, Chandler proposed on March 13, 2023. We spent the whole day before flying from Toronto to San Juan to catch our cruise. Little did I know, I almost spoiled the surprise that day, when I was putting our last minute things in Chandler's backpack where the ring was hidden.

Chandler had spent the day looking for the perfect spot on the cruise ship, which we found while playing shuffleboard. That night, after we had gotten ready for dinner, Chandler wanted to get pictures in the same spot where we had played shuffle board -but I was worried my hair would go flat in the humidity (lol). With some convincing, Chandler got me outside on the deck overlooking the water and I'm so glad he did because it was the most perfect proposal! ❤️

Our Next Chapter

The farm has been such an important part of all of our special moments in our relationship, from our first date to building our house, so we thought why not get married where it all started?!
