Getting to the Hudson Valley
Driving: from both Brianne and Rob's hometowns, the drive is about two and a half hours.
Flying: closest airport would be Albany, NY (about an hour and twenty minutes). Additionally, you can fly into the NYC airports (LGA, JFK, EWR) which is about a two-hour drive from the NYC airports. You can take public transportation into NYC and take the train from Grand Central or Penn Station.
Train: you can take either the Amtrak (Penn Station) or MetroNorth (Grand Central) from NYC or NJ to Poughkeepsie. You can also sing the one lyric of taking the Hudson River line from Billy Joel's New York State of Mind on loop for the duration.
