Our Story
Jonathan’s Beginning
Jonathan (mostly goes by J but has extensive list of nicknames including Jon, JJ and J Blake) was born in Manhattan, NY and grew up in Spring, TX. J went to Texas Tech for his undergrad and then on to Baylor for grad school. J has two amazing parents, Teresa and Jonathan Sr, as well as a sister, Cara who support him each day. J is an Eagles fan, loves National Parks and is an up and coming chef (which Brie loves)! J is an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, helping those who have suffered injuries or dealing with pain to resume activities or sports that they love.
Brie’s Beginning
I had an exciting beginning…born in Frankfurt, Germany to Memphis, TN and then to sunny Huntington Beach, CA where I spent most of my childhood. I attended UCSB for undergrad and also attended Baylor for grad school. Things I love are cheese, cats, and traveling. I have two loving parents Debbie and Doug, an older sister Nicole, and an identical twin sister Katie. I am now a Neurologic Physical Therapist, working in hospitals and post acute rehabs to help those who have suffered a neurological event to regain mobility and independence.
Our love story
Jonathan and I met in Waco, TX attending Baylor University for Physical Therapy school in Jan, 2020. COVID brought us closer together as we become best friends, having dance parties in each other’s living rooms and studying days and nights away together.
We both graduated with our Doctorates in Dec of 2021 and about a year later our story officially turned from best friends to soulmates ❤️ We got engaged in Phoenix, Arizona on Dec 14th, 2024 surrounded by family and friends!
We now travel the country as travel PT’s, completing contracts in Oregon, Arizona and now North Carolina. We have our two fur babies Homer and Wally and enjoy traveling, eating good local food, and exploring different breweries and cider houses!
