What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
While the official ceremony begins at 6:00 PM, it is recommended that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to start.
What is the dress code?
Formal attire.
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place within The Franklin Institute Museum. Specifically, the ceremony will occur in Fels Planetarium, the cocktail hour within an exhibit, and the reception in Benjamin Franklin National Memorial Hall.
What will the wedding-day timeline look like?
The ceremony will begin at 6:00 PM, followed directly by the cocktail hour and reception. The reception will end at 11:30 PM. Afterward, meet us at a nearby bar to continue the fun! (After party information to come...)
What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?
We’ll be serving light-passed hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner and dessert. There is an open bar.
I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What’s the best way to let you know?
Please indicate serious dietary restrictions/allergies on your RSVP so we can address them with our caterer. You may also reach out to us directly!
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
As Fels Planetarium is such an unique venue, it is preferred that flash photography does not occur. We would prefer that you leave the picture-taking during the ceremony to our hired photographers. Feel free to take pictures all night afterward, and don’t forget to share them with us!
