Nearby Cities

Detroit

If you've never been to Detroit, use our wedding as an excuse to check it out! Campus Martius is located in the heart of downtown with an ice rink to skate on. Woodward Avenue will be the spot to walk down with the restaurants and shops. There's the riverfront trail, the fist & the spirit all right there. Check out Hudson Cafe for a great brunch or the Shinola store for upscale shopping. If you want to branch out a bit there's the Henry Ford Museum within Greenfield Village which features iconic Detroit history. There's also the DIA (Detroit Institute of Arts) for those who are more artistically inclined. Also, for those looking to get lucky,,, the MGM has some great gambling.

Royal Oak

Royal Oak is a great neighborhood with lots of young families. If you want to spend an afternoon somewhere on the way to the hotel from the airport this would be an awesome option. There is lots of shopping, a bunch of great restaurants and is very walkable.

Birmingham

Birmingham is located just south of the ceremony and has a very trendy downtown. You can find everything you would want there. We are big fans of the Commonwealth Cafe. If you have time on Friday night, you can also go to eat the best sliders in MI at the Hunter House.
