Chris and Britt met when they were 21 during a summer in Maine. Chris, a Maine native, was working at FunTown, while Britt, from Pennsylvania, spent her summers working at Monkey Trunks. Introduced by a friend of Chris, they clicked and continued hanging out individually.

Despite Britt returning to Pennsylvania after the summer, they kept in touch. While Britt attended Millersville and Chris was at the University of Maine, they talked and FaceTimed daily. After a few months, they made it official. They did long-distance for three years, managing with road trips and FaceTime calls.

Chris moved to Pennsylvania after graduating, and they rented a house in Phoenixville. Now living together for over two years, they have an adopted dog named Zeus. In October 2023, on the Maine beach where it all began, Chris proposed. Now engaged, they live in Phoenixville, both working at the CCIU.
