If you are staying in Detroit Lakes, it is a 25 minute drive to Haven Hill. If you are planning on drinking, you can: - take a taxi or Uber from Detroit Lakes to Haven Hill ( we are providing a shuttle back to Detroit Lakes, but space is limited, so please text Felipe or Britt to reserve a spot) - drive yourself & 1) have a designated driver to go back or 2) leave the car at Haven Hill over night, take the shuttle back & come back the next day to get the car.

The ceremony will take place at Haven Hill Resort, under the chestnut tree in Grandma's front yard. This particular property, that includes Grandmas house & yard, the resort, and the greenhorn point, have been in Brittany's family for over 100 years.

The party will be at the Greenhorn Point, aka "The Point" on the property. We encourage folks to walk from the chestnut tree to the point to really take in the beautiful lake views that surround the space. It is a .5 mile walk.

The Point is a special place, as it is a narrow piece of land that is surrounded by water on the North, East and West side. There are no structures here, so everything will be DIY. We are setting up a big, white tent, alongside a woodfire pizza oven, a couple of campfires, yard games and a grassy dance floor.

Haven Hill Resort was started by Brittany's great-grandparents, Emil & Erma Rosentreter, in 1919. Brittany's grandparents, Donna & Melvin, purchased the resort and farm from Melvin's parents and have been running the resort ever since! Haven Hill holds a very special place in the hearts of everyone in the family and we are so excited to share this special place with all of you!

Felipe and a friend will be making the appetizers! Get ready for a couple of authentic Costa Rican bites to get us started. For dinner. we are serving wood fire pizza & Caesar salad. A local guy from Detroit Lakes is bringing a wood fire oven & making all-you-can-eat pizza's onsite. Have a gluten or dairy allergy? There are gluten free and dairy free options! Still hungry? Don't worry, the pizza guy is going to leave us with plenty of pizza, plus we will be putting out a dessert and snack table as the night goes on.

We are going to be providing plenty to drink, including nonalcoholic and alcoholic options. There will be water, sparkle waters and sodas, as well as beer, wine and liquors. This is a private property, so if you feel so inclined, you can also BYOB!

PLEASE READ THIS. There are NO taxies or ubers that will pick you up in this area. And the drive back to Detroit Lakes is 25 minutes of dark, country roads. Please, if you are planning on drinking, either have a designated driver or reach out to us! We have a 20 person shuttle that will be taking people back from the party to Detroit Lakes.
