Brittany and Carter’s love blossomed out of a longstanding friendship and mutual passion for music, sports, and southern traditions. After Brittany moved across the country to Denver, Carter continued to check in on her work travels and Colorado adventures. Brittany always enjoyed seeing Carter when she visited Georgia. On a fateful trip as friends to the Grand Ole Opry’s Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Carter realized his feelings were deeper than friendship. It wouldn’t take much longer for Brittany to come to the same conclusion, as a few months later a trip to the city of New Orleans had a way of surfacing those romantic feelings. ☺️
Carter & Brittany immediately knew that their relationship would take a course of longevity. When they began their cross-country relationship in November 2019, they had no idea that a global pandemic would add to the dynamic of a long distance relationship. They persevered together, and even got to make lemonade by quarantining together for a few months at Lake Rabun. A peaceful respite from the global chaos, and a safe haven near and dear to their budding love.
Although distance makes the heart grow fonder, the time came in September 2021 for Carter to pack up his Atlanta residence and move to Colorado to join Brittany. Slowly but surely, Carter grew to love Brittany’s Colorado lifestyle of early earlyyy morning commutes out into the wilderness to enjoy hiking, camping, snow skiing and more. And of course they enjoy many a trip to Red Rocks and other local venues to share their love of music that brought them together 😊
Fast forward to August 2023, it was only fitting for Carter to pull off his biggest surprise yet (💍💍💍) on the way to a Red Rocks show. The couple popped champagne in a private limo on the way to a romantic evening of My Morning Jacket to kick off a lifelong commitment to each other.
Brittany & Carter can’t wait to share their love story with you in a place that is close to both of their hearts, Lake Rabun, GA. They are excited to host a weekend filled with family & friends, laughter & music, nature & maybe a little bit of SEC football…. Hope you can make it! Xoxo
