My oldest friend ❤️ Ashley & I became friends when we were 5 years old and have shared so many chapters of life! We have many memories at Lake Rabun together over the years but this will be an extra special one. I’ve looked up to Ashley my whole life and I can count on her for ANYTHING, but especially when a ski trip is involved. 😁 Ashley lives in Kennesaw, GA with her husband Zack and sweet doggos Russell & Hodge.

Liz is my adventure buddy — always inspiring me to go new places and try new things! Between Colorado hikes, ski trips, concerts, and scuba diving, we are always up to something! I love how much quality time that Carter & I get to spend with Liz, and so does our dog Rita (so much so that Liz is her godmother) 😁

Best man. Brother by blood and father of my nephew Niko. I wanted to be just like Taylor as a child and still ask him for advice as an adult. So I couldn’t think of anyone better to stand by my side on the big day. For those who remember I was Taylor’s best man for his own wedding 10 years ago. Unlike that wedding, I can guarantee you we will be recording his best man’s speech. Taylor’s interests are KU Basketball and Inbound Marketing. His hobbies are running and mixology. And his passions are family and long walks on the beach.

Dan is my most sane friend. For years I have referred to him as the rock of our friend group. I look up to Dan on both a professional and personal level. Which is wild to think about because I am older than him and was originally friends with his older brother Tom. Don’t let this description fool you. The man lets loose. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts with Dan and he continues to educate me about the world’s best bourbons to this day. If you’re an out of town guest looking for a recommendation of Atlanta’s best southern cuisine Dan’s your man! If you’re having trouble finding him on the day of the wedding check in front of the TV during the Georgia game.

Caitlin is my ride-or-die high school bestie who has always managed to be a good influence even in my most mischievous phases 😁 Caitlin and her 6 siblings became extended family for me - she’s truly the sister I never had! Caitlin lives in Augusta, GA with her husband Buddy and kids Hunter & Ellie June. I love seeing Caitlin’s journey of motherhood and watching her kiddos grow is a special chapter of our friendship ❤️

Jackie is one of the most effortlessly beautiful people I know — inside and out! We met in college but grew closer during my Atlanta years after school. We developed close camaraderie and for a long time bonded as the only single ladies in our extensive friend group 🤣 I have so much respect for Jackie and her quiet confidence that is admired by many. I always value our heart-to-heart conversations, especially since she has known Carter longer than almost anyone (besides family) at our wedding! Carter and Jackie have been friends since middle school years and I can always count on Jax for some hilarious stories of Carter’s formative years ☺️

Since meeting Duncan my freshman year of high school, we have lived together, worked together, and I’ve probably spent more time with him on the phone than anyone else in my life! Duncan was on a path to becoming a lawyer until I convinced him to make a career change and join the sales team of a tech startup I was employed at. It worked out for him though as he went on to meet his future fiancé at said tech company. Suffice to say if you were looking to discuss this year’s upcoming presidential education with one of my groomsmen, Duncan is definitely your guy. While chatting with him you should definitely ask to see every single one of his tattoos.

Sir Roy. The most honorable man I know. And I’m not just saying that because he’s visited me the most in Denver out of my Atlanta friends. I also say it because Rory had the unfortunate privilege of being my boss when we worked together at Mellow Mushroom in college, and the pleasure of being my roommate in Atlanta during the pandemic quarantine. During our time as roommates I adopted my dog Rita who was way more obedient with Rory than myself. And bonded with my cat, Gus, so much so that he offered to adopt him once I moved to Denver. If you were to ask my mother who her favorite groomsmen was, she’d probably say Rory.

Emily is my rock! I can always count on her as a good listener and provider of solid advice. We lived together in Denver before Carter moved out to CO, and she was my quarantine buddy throughout all the chaos of COVID. Emily gave me an invaluable gift of including me in her community of amazing ladies in Denver! My transition from GA to CO would have looked much different without Emily’s kindness to always include me ❤️ she’s my kindred spirit and I also love that our dogs (Rita & Hazel) are besties!

Matt is my oldest friendship to date. I remember trading Crazy Bones on the playground with him when we were in Kindergarten…..some of my fondest memories of my youth were spending a majority of my summers at Matt’s house with him and his three brothers causing a ruckus. It was during these times with Matt that I was introduced to my other groomsmen, Danny and Duncan. He also introduced me to my favorite band, Phish. Matt is a RN at Emory hospital and has agreed to be in charge of First Aid for our wedding weekend. Whether you meet him at the bar or the infirmary he’s guaranteed to make you laugh.

I met Jake in college by running into each other in New Orleans every time I visited (even though he’s not from there) which led to hanging out a lot in ATL. One of our first bonding moments was a Mardi Gras night where we got kicked out of The Boot. Interestingly enough, during this time Jake was one of Brittany’s best friends in Athens during their time at UGA. Jake is the type of guy who you want there for both life’s biggest celebrations and challenges. Which is why it was a must that he stand up there with Brittany and I on our big day. Jake is a Director of Sustainability professionally. So if you don’t recycle your drink containers this weekend he’ll catch ya.

One of my closest friends from high school and absolute partner in crime! We have so many special memories at Lake Rabun and Atlanta growing up together. Ainslee helped me begin the journey to being the free spirit I am today, and for that I am forever grateful! Ainslee & I went on multiple mission trips to Guatemala together, forging a deep bond that has lasted over a decade now. You will always be smiling and laughing while talking with Ainslee, she is one of a kind!
