We recommend Rome's Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) for the best flight options from the US. FCO has the best options for public transit to Terni and is centrally located in the country, making it easy to add vacation stops before or after the wedding weekend.

We recommend arriving no later than Friday June 13th. We are hosting a Welcome Rehearsal Reception on Friday evening. We plan to arrive Thursday the 12th, and the hotel will make rooms available to rent if you would like to come in a night early to adjust to the time difference.

Doubletree by Hilton Monti. Hands down our favorite hotel in Italy. Brand new hotel and relatively affordable for being 10 minutes from the Colosseum and Forum. The Monti neighborhood has so many good eats. King size beds, air conditioning 10/10, rooftop bar and 2 restaurants in the hotel. Lots of great Airbnb’s in the Monti area too. Close to Rome Termini and you can walk the whole city from there.

Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection. Newly renovated and fantastic restaurant inside. You can call a taxi to the city center (Duomo) and be there in 5 minutes or walk along the Arno River and be there in 20 minutes. Great mix of Italian and American breakfast items, for those not ready to adjust to cafe and pastry for breakfast. Air Conditioning 8/10.

There are multiple walking/hiking trails accessible from the venue. Rock climbing, river rafting and waterfalls near by. The town of Scheggino is the most picturesque Italian village you’ve ever seen, built into the countryside, and our favorite restaurant in the area is there, Osteria Baciafemmine. Visit the city of Spoleto, a larger village like Terni with great local restaurants and beautiful scenery.
