Where should we send gifts from the registry?

Our new address to send gifts to is 140 Uwapo Rd. Bldg 52 unit 102, Kihei, HI 96753. Please take note to purchase gifts directly from the site the gift comes from and NOT from the Knot, as the Knot does not ship gifts out to Hawaii. Lastly, the west elm registry as it will no longer display gifts on the knot, so please refer to their registry on West Elm separately. We appreciate you!

Should we uber or rent a car?

We definitely recommend renting a vehicle versus using Uber. Ubers can get expensive depending on where you are wanting to go on the island. Renting a car is usually pretty simple and makes it easy to be able to travel anywhere you want on the island.

Where is the welcome dinner in regards to the wedding venue? How do we get there?

The welcome dinner is NOT near the wedding venue. The welcome dinner, the night before, is about 35 minutes away from the wedding location. We recommend using a rental car to get there, if not, uber or lyft. We are currently looking into transportation options by bus and will be sure to let you know if this is an option. We will address a meeting location if we can get a bus.

What should we expect at the welcome party?

You are all invited to the welcome party and encourage everyone to be there as we would love to see you all and to experience the beautiful views of Maui from above. A light dinner and complimentary drink will be served.

What do we wear?

Please refer to the "wedding attire" tab on this website. There are examples for what we are requesting you to wear to the occasion. Keep in mind of the warm weather and sun. Dress appropriately and wear sunscreen if you need it!

What airport should we fly into?

You will fly into the Kahului Airport (OGG).

Which is better a hotel or airbnb?

We recommend looking at websites like AIRBNB or VRBO before looking at hotel stays, as there are plenty of condos/houses for rent. They are usually cheaper than hotel rooms.

What part of Maui should I stay in?

We are getting married in Wailea. Locations within a 15 minute drive include Kihei, Makena and Maalaea. We also recommend looking at staying in Kahului or Wailuku (central maui) as it is about a 20 minute drive. Other fun places to stay include Paia, Lahaina, and Kaanapali, but you are looking at a 30+ minute drive. If you are okay with driving that "far" we definitely recommend those places to stay to experience Maui.

Is getting to different parts of the island easily accessible?

Yes! The drive between most cities are a pretty straight shot with beautiful viewsl. We do not recommend staying in Hana as that is a longer and more difficult drive to access the rest of the island.

When should we start looking at places to stay?

ASAP. Maui is a small island and places book out quick. We highly recommend booking as soon as possible. It might even be a good option to room together with other guests. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in grouping together.

Isn't food in Maui super expensive?

Not necessarily. Finding the right places to buy groceries will help cut costs. We recommend getting a Costco membership and buying groceries there as it is similar pricing on the mainland. Other popular grocery stores include Safeway and Foodland. Those can get a little more expensive, but nothing drastic. We recommend starting rewards with these grocery stores as they have amazing deals and coupons if you sign up for rewards. It's easy!
