To get the full Maui experience, we definitely recommend driving the road to Hana. If you are comfortable at driving narrow roadways and one way bridges, we recommend renting a car to do this! There are also shuttles that take people every day. We personally take our own vehicle, it is so much fun! We recommend downloading the "Shaka Guide" as it is a guided tour on your phone telling you where the main attractions are. It's a must!
The most iconic restaurant on the island. Amazing views, food, and drinks. Reservations book out months in advance, so snag a spot if you get the chance! Food can get a little pricey, but it is an experience.
A must. A visit to Haleakala is a once in a lifetime experience. Go at sunrise or sunset. Sunrise requires a reservation on the national park website. Sunset you can just go in. The views from the volcano are breathtaking.
Great place to rent snorkel gear.
One of our favorite towns to hangout on the island. A fun, quirky, little town with cute local shops and restaurants. Check out Paia Bay Coffee Bar. This is a place we often frequent, for food, drinks, and meeting new people!
Check out Ho'okipa lookout and beach to watch the surfers! Fun hangout spot to beach and watch not only the surfers, but the sea turtles that come in and beach.
Makawao is a great area to shop at boutique, local stores, and really get the “upcountry” feel!
A great place on Saturdays to go to the local farmers market, look at the views, or pick strawberries! Can also look during the week!
Best Mai Tai’s on the island!
Our favorite place to hangout with friends, grab a coffee, or a cocktail! If you want to know our “hangout spot” this is it!
Big beach is an iconic Maui beach that’s well.. big! Great place for a beach day, but please be careful of the waves!
Another great location to beach, and our favorite place to snorkel! Guaranteed to see ocean life!
An iconic beach, easy snorkel, and “cliff” jumping!
An every day spot to try the iconic food trucks and local vibe!
Our favorite place to grab pizza and listen to live music! Brittany’s favorite pizza: “Sweet Kahlua” Conner’s favorite: “Da Hawaiian.” Also little tourists shops around!
A store to pick out all things pineapple as well as taking home your own pineapples! We highly recommend buying Maui Gold pineapples while you are here! They are our favorite and can be found almost anywhere!
One of our very favorite places to snorkel! We highly recommend checking it out! The drive is farther, but easy and beautiful!
If you are a coffee lover, we highly recommend trying local coffee shops on the island. To name a few of our favorites—Jave cafe, bad ass coffee, akamai coffee, kraken coffee, lava java, and first wave!
Our absolute favorite breakfast place. The line looks long but it is fast! Brittany’s go to order: banana macnut pancakes (add on the white syrup at the table trust us) or Conner’s favorite: surfer boy! A local favorite and iconic breakfast to also try is the loco moco!
The most delicious cinnamon roll you will ever have. Enough said. (Watch out for chickens)
