For those of you who don’t know…We have known each other since we were babies! Our dads used to work together at CCSU and our families became very close! We spent many nights playing games and laughing at each of our childhood homes with Mitch, Lindsey, and our parents!

Our parents still remained friends and our dads golf together every Sunday (even to this day!)

FAST FORWARD 10 years...

In October 2017, my parents attended Mitch and Amys wedding and my mom came home talking about SPENCER! In February of 2018, my parents received a “thank you” note from Mitch and Amy and SPENCER was brought up again!

I messaged Spencer on Instagram on February 9th asking how he was and what he’s been up to. On February 14, he messaged me to say Happy Valentine’s Day and wished me well with the kids at school!

A few days later, I was sitting in the doctors office and opened up my Instagram to send Spencer a message. It showed that he was already typing a message to me at the exact same time!

Later that day, I checked my phone and didn’t realize I had his cell phone number all this time!! After that, we talked for 3 days straight. He invited me to come see his house that next weekend but I was too excited to wait a whole week! I went over on a Wednesday night and saw his house, met Tula, and watched a movie. When we sat down, I told him, “Don’t make this weird” (because we knew each other for years before). We both knew right away that this felt different than anything we’ve felt before!

On March 13, 2018, he asked me to be his girlfriend!! The rest is history!!

Since then, we have been on six vacations together to Lake Gaston, North Carolina, miles and miles of motorcycle rides, many walks with Tula, trips with friends, and so many holiday memories together!

On May 7, 2021, we bought our first house together in Burlington, CT! With the help of our families, we were able to turn this house into a home very quickly!

On August 13, 2023, we went on a typical Sunday motorcycle ride with Spencers parents to Kent Falls! Walking up to the waterfall was beautiful, but Spencer had bigger plans that day!! We walked down a dirt path on the right side of the falls and I was admiring the waterfall. When I turned around, Spencer was down on one knee with a BEAUTIFUL ring in a white box! Of course, I said “YES!” and cried! His parents were with us to capture this moment!!

Marrying someone you love is so special, but when it’s your best friend, it makes everything more meaningful.

We are so excited for this next chapter and all the moments to come with the ones we love!!
