30 Days To Go!

Schedule & Timing

What time should we arrive for the wedding?

Please plan to arrive at 4:30pm to give yourself time to park and get settled at the venue, as the ceremony will start promptly at 5pm, so we will need all guests seated and ready to go by then.

What is the timeline of the wedding?

The ceremony will start promptly at 5pm, so please plan to arrive starting at 4:30pm to ensure sufficient time to get settled for the ceremony. The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail hour with drinks and appetizers. Dinner will then be served around 7pm, and dancing will begin at approximately 8:30pm. The reception will end by 10:45pm.

Venue Logistics

Will the reception be at the same location as the ceremony?

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place at The Oaks.

How do you get to the venue?

We would recommend using Google Maps/Apple Maps/Waze/etc to direct you to The Oaks at Plum Creek - 321 Players Club Dr, Castle Rock, CO 80104. Generally, you will take I-25 south from Denver into Castle Rock, exit on Plum Creek Pkwy. Head east on Plum Creek Pkwy until Plum Creek Blvd. Head south on Plum Creek Blvd, where you will drive up into the neighborhood area. You will then see a sign on your left for The Oaks, where you will turn left onto Players Club Dr to enter the parking lot. The Oaks is the first building you will see on your left as you enter into the parking lot.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, there is ample, free parking next to venue. The venue shares a large parking lot with the golf course it is adjacent to, so you will be able to park in that lot for the evening.

Will the wedding be outside or inside?

The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting, and the cocktail hour and reception will be indoors. Ladies, please note that the ceremony space is entirely on grass, so choose your footwear accordingly (i.e. no stilettos/spiky heels that will sink into the ground). Additionally, the sun may be bright at the time of the ceremony, so bring your sunglasses if you are concerned.

What will the weather be like?

While the unpredictable Colorado weather can even trick the meteorologists sometimes, in early June, we expect the weather to be in the upper 70 degrees and sunny. There is a chance of afternoon thunderstorms this time of year, but we have a backup plan to move the ceremony inside should the weather not cooperate.

Event Logistics

What is the dress code?

Cocktail attire (coat & tie preferable for men & cocktail dress or formal jumpsuit for women)

Where should we sit at the ceremony?

We will not be having a traditional bride's side/groom's side, so you can sit wherever you desire! Just note that there will be some "reserved" signs at some seats in the front for close family.

Will we be able to take pictures at the wedding?

We are having an unplugged ceremony, so we are requesting that all guests silence and put away their phones for the duration of our ceremony so that we can all be present in that moment of joy and love. Don't worry - our amazing photographers will be working hard to capture lots of beautiful photos of the ceremony that we will share with everyone after the fact. Once the ceremony is over, you can take as many pictures as you want while we celebrate the rest of the night. And if you do, please share those photos with us through the photo gallery QR codes you will see at your seat and at the bar.

Food & Drinks

What will be served for dinner?

Dinner will be a plated meal. The first course will be the venue's signature (*gluten-free & vegetarian*) The Oaks salad; which contains mixed greens, goat cheese, pear, candied walnuts, and balsamic vinaigrette; served with buttery garlic knots. You will have the option to choose between two entree options when you RSVP (White Wine Poached Salmon with Lemon Dill Cream sauce or Grilled Flatiron Steak with Caramelized Onion and Brie Cream sauce, with both being *gluten-free*). Both entrees will be served with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes and a Fresh Vegetable (sides are *gluten-free & vegetarian*). We will also have passed appetizers during cocktail hour, which will be Bacon-Wrapped BBQ Shrimp Drizzled with Pepper Jack Cheese (*gluten-free*) & Shiitake Mushroom Pot Stickers (*vegetarian*). If you have dietary restrictions that will not be met by either of the two plated entree choices or that may require some adjustments, there will be a spot on the RSVP for you to let us know what your specific dietary needs are so that we may advise the chef and ensure that a special plate that meets those needs is made available for you. There will also be a "child's plate" option for children under the age of 10, which offers chicken tenders, mac & cheese, French fries, and a fruit cup.

Will there be a bar?

Yes, there will be an open bar available to all of-age guests, with house wine varietals, domestic beer, & house cocktails. The bar will be open from cocktail hour (~5:30pm) through ~9:30pm. For all guests under 21 as well as for those looking for something non-alcoholic to drink, there will be a suite of non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy as well. The venue staff does card all guests, so any guest without a valid ID will not be served alcohol. For the last hour of the night (~9:30pm to 10:30pm), the bar will convert to a cash bar should you desire any drinks during this time.

Am I able to bring in any of my own food or drink to the venue?

No. The venue does not allow any external food or drink to be brought in.

Alternatively, if you decide to give a gift through one of the registries linked on our website, you will have the option to have the gift delivered directly to Brittany & Greg prior to the wedding.
