Just a 45 min drive south from Castle Rock towards Colorado Springs is Garden of the Gods, which is an iconic outdoor park in the state with great views & hiking!

If you have heard of the "Incline" (a famous hike in Manitou Springs definitely not for the faint of heart), this park in Castle Rock offers a similar, yet shorter hiking experience. The "mini incline" is a a 0.6 mile loop with a 200 step climb up the Challenge Hill (178 foot elevation gain), so we would recommend it for experienced hikers looking for a fun outdoor activity in the area. Definitely be cautious if you are not used to the Colorado altitude though!

If you like good brews, 105 West Brewing is recommended as a great place to check out in Castle Rock. They also have wood-fired pizzas as well as a great selection of on tap beer.
