Our Wedding

We first met in August 2022 when we were both in the wedding party for another special couple—Blaz and Tori. Carter, Blaz’s cousin, was a groomsman, while Brittany, Tori’s best friend, was the maid of honor. Fate had a plan, and it all started two weeks before the wedding at a ‘get to know the wedding party’ gathering at Game Day Sports Bar in Appleton. After a few drinks and some laughs, the group continued the night at Deja Vu for a martini or two.&nbsp; That night, Brittany went home and told her roommate, Sabra, that this Carter guy was pretty cute. Coincidentally, Sabra was already dating a Carter (and still is), so she was instantly on board—after all, the name had a good track record!&nbsp; At Blaz and Tori’s wedding, we spent the entire night drinking, dancing, and having the best time together. There was an undeniable spark, and soon after, we went on our first date. We decided on dinner at Sangria’s and drinks at Player 2 Arcade Bar, where our competitive sides were soon introduced to each other. The connection was instant, and on September 7th, Carter officially asked Brittany to be his girlfriend.&nbsp; As our relationship grew, we not only fell in love with each other but also with each other’s families. Brittany quickly bonded with Carter’s family, and Carter fit right in with Brittany’s. Whether it was family gatherings, holidays, or just spending time together, we both knew we were gaining so much more than just a partner—we were each gaining a second family.&nbsp; Our love for adventure became a big part of our relationship. In the spring of 2023, we took our first big trip together to New Orleans for spring break. We soaked in the city’s rich history, indulged in amazing food, and enjoyed the vibrant nightlife on Bourbon Street. From live jazz to beignets at Café du Monde, it was a trip filled with unforgettable memories. The following year, in the spring of 2024, we continued our tradition of spring break adventures and headed to Salt Lake City to visit Blaz and Tori. We explored the stunning mountain scenery, went sightseeing, and embraced the unique charm of Utah. Traveling together only made our bond stronger, as we discovered how much fun we had experiencing new places side by side.&nbsp; In August 2023, Carter took on a big project—a fixer-upper house that needed a lot of love. With the help of our families, we put our hearts (and sweat) into turning the house into our home. After months of hard work, we finally moved in together in October. Life together was everything we hoped for—full of laughter, inside jokes, and embracing our wonderfully weird selves. In July of 2024, we decided to share our love with more than just each other—we became dog foster parents! Our foster, Tip, quickly stole our hearts. When we brought Tip to a family weekend, it became clear he wasn’t going anywhere. We decided to make him part of our forever family and renamed him Kessler—after Carter’s favorite drink, of course!&nbsp; Now, all three of us are living our best lives, surrounded by love, family, and memories we’ll cherish forever. We can’t wait to see the adventures life takes us on next and to celebrate the next chapter of our journey with all of you!&nbsp;
