Do we need to bring any cash to the wedding?
Yes, we will be having a bar, and although tips are not required, they are appreciated. David and I will also be doing a money/dollar dance. Once again, cash is not required but greatly appreciated.
What is a money/dollar dance?
A dollar dance, also known as a money dance or apron dance, is a wedding reception tradition where guests pay to dance with the bride and groom. The money is usually used to help with the couple's honeymoon or to set up their new home.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Our guests should plan to arrive between 3:30pm and 3:50pm.
*The venue will close the entrance gate 10 minutes prior to the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated prior to the 4pm ceremony. If you are running late you will not be able to gain access to the venue until AFTER the ceremony.
What should I wear to the wedding?
We are asking our guests to dress smart casual. This includes items like blazers, sports jackets, dresses, sweaters, trousers, khakis, skirts, blouses, button-down shirts, polos, dress shoes, boots, heels, and flats.
Although the wedding is in Florida, we are asking our guests to avoid wearing flip-flops, t-shirts, shorts, ripped or faded jeans.
Am I allowed to take photos during the wedding ceremony?
No, we have opted for an unplugged wedding ceremony so that guests are not distracted by their devices, and the professional wedding photographer can get the best possible shots without the interference of other flashes or mobile screens.
What time will your wedding reception end?
Our exit will be at 9pm.
Will there be an open bar?
We will be serving beer and wine. Please refrain from bringing any hard liquor on the property. We are also asking for all other party substances to be left behind. If spotted, you will be asked to leave the property.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
If the weather allows it, our ceremony will be outside, and our reception will be indoors. The venue does have AC as well as heating, so we are prepared whatever the circumstances may be.
