Take I-565 West towards Decatur
I-565 turn into Hwy 31 (continue on Hwy 31)
Turn right onto Moulton Street/Hwy 24W (continue on Hwy 24 for 45 miles)
Take exit for Hwy 43 (Russellville, Hamilton)
Turn left into Willow Oak Lodge
What's the best airport to use?
Huntsville, Birmingham, Nashville and Atlanta are all great options for those flying in.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
The doors to the venue will open one hour ahead of our ceremony time at 5 pm. We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to park and get shuttled to the ceremony space and find a seat.
Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.
Am I allowed to bring my children/teenagers?
We love your children, but due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests under age 18 on our wedding day.
Dress Attire
This is your chance to dress to the nines. We ask that you wear a tuxedo or dark suit and tie. Alternatively, an evening gown or a mid or knee-length cocktail dress would be appropriate. Please keep in mind that the reception will be held outdoors, so if you're wearing heels, plan accordingly for the terrain.
Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?
Jewel tones but no pressure! If you are a part of the family please wear jewel tones colors for wedding photo. (Yes black is ok.)

Transportation
Please ensure that wherever you’re staying—on or off the property—you arrive at Willow Oak Lodge with plenty of time for the venue to shuttle everyone to the ceremony location. While we have full confidence in our friends’ driving skills, all guests will park at the lodge, and the venue staff will handle transportation to and from the wedding site, as well as back to the reception area. Keep in mind, the drive to the lodge is a bit off the beaten path, so this might not be the best occasion to bring your convertible!
Will there be a shuttle?
Yes. Please arrive to the wedding location with enough time for everyone to be shuttled to the actual wedding venue.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both!
The wedding itself will be held in an outdoor location that has a roof incase the weather decides to act up that day.
The reception will be held outside with the food and bar being inside.
What is the weather and climate like in the area?
Humidity might kill you. Girls get the hairspray out. Boys you probably can leave the jacket at your table after photos.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
We'll be serving a traditional cocktail hour, followed by a sit-down dinner featuring a potato and chicken entrée with green beans, topped with a light lemon sauce. If anyone has any dietary concerns or allergies please let me know.
Will there be an open bar?
Of course!
There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception, however, we do recommend bringing cash to trip for our wonderful bartender.
What's the wedding itinerary?
Our wedding will take place at Willow Oak Lodge on 06/21/2025. The ceremony will begin at 5 pm sharp, followed by cocktail hour and the reception, which is anticipated to wrap around 10 pm. But the party will continue into the night around 12 am. There is no pressure for everyone to stay that late.
Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?
All guest staying on the property with us. You are invited to come a day early (Friday) to spend the day with us. We will we serving BBQ that night for dinner as a rehearsal dinner. We will be arriving at noon.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We kindly ask that you keep our wedding "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos at the wedding. Photos at the reception are encouraged!
