I can't possibly choose one favorite memory with Brooke. We spent our teenage years blasting angsty teen music as we took MySpace pictures in her bedroom filled with Fall Out Boys and All Time Low posters. Friday's after school meant going to Moe's for burritos then heading to her house to have another epic sleepover. One time we built a huge fort and watched Disney movies all night.
We were the only two to show up extra early to school just so we could hang out by our lockers and catch up. Since we didn't have any classes together we would pass notes after every period and I still have a few of them in my drawer at home. I'll never forget how she forced me to read Harry Potter because she swore it would change my life. It did. Just like she has changed my life. High school would've been absolutely nothing without Brooke. It's a time when, more than anything, kids need a strong friendship to get them through. She was my rock through it all. She is in all my great memories and they will stay with me forever. I love you and I can't believe we've gone from two awkward teens to two legit adults and now you're getting married!

My favorite memory with Brooke can also be considered my favorite quality in Brooke. Shortly after I met Brooke in the fall of 2012, I knew that we would be friends for a very long time. We had an instant connection and I knew that she was someone I could rely on. One of my favorite memories with Brooke was when I opened up to her about something personal in my life for the very first time. Without getting Into too much detail, we were laughing and exchanging stories from high school when Brooke suddenly asked me, "Becca, are you ok? You seem to be bothered by something." She saw right through me and at that moment I knew I could confide in her (so I did). In my opinion, that was the moment that I knew we would be best friends. I love you, Brooke and I am so beyond blessed to be able to stand beside you on your wedding day.

There is no way I could choose just one favorite memory with Brooke. When you find a soul sister you carry them with you always, so they grow with you and shape your experiences. The best example of this, would be The Carousel of Progress at the Magic Kingdom. It's Brooke's favorite ride. The first time I went on it was with her, and she was so upset when I thought it was terrible! I remember one day I was missing her so bad I went on the ride I couldn't stand just to record it and send the whole thing to her. I cried because it made me miss her so much. Whenever I miss Brooke extra (which is often) I go on that ride and feel complete peace and joy. It's grown to be one of my most loved rides. There's a great big beautiful tomorrow....

So I don’t have just one favorite memory with Brooke, I have an entire series. Ironically, we didn’t get closer until right before her college graduation. Every Wednesday, I went to “the fortress”(the rugby house) to watch American Horror Story with her, Sean, and Rainwater. Every time I went, I had to call her and ask her to stand outside because I couldn’t find the house, and she stood outside even when it rained or was cold. We would talk about our days, gossip about people we didn’t like, and obsess over Lady Gaga. After I graduated college, Lexi, Mary, and I went on a roadtrip to visit Brooke and Sean in Michigan. It was so much fun getting to catch up in person, explore Detroit, and get lost in America’s largest Christmas store together. My favorite memories with Brooke keep evolving, because as time goes on, more and more are added. (For anybody wondering, I still can’t find the rugby house to save my life).

By October 13, 2018, Brooke and I will have known each other for 5-and-a-half years. In that span of time we’ve made several memories together, so it would be really hard to choose just one. However, if I had to pick just one, I’d go with the night she and I had some solid one-on-one time together. OF COURSE there was wine that was drunk and YES there were selfies that were taken. We were all going out as a group, this was before our group was ‘the group’, and we were getting ready at her house at The Hammocks. Brooke and I were in her bathroom putting on our makeup, doing our hair, and talking ‘girl talk’. Somehow, in the midst of all of that, we decided to pull out our camera and start taking pictures. And dang it, if those weren’t some of the BEST selfies I’ve ever taken in my life. I like to think its because Brooke and I were just so happy about that night and we just knew the friendship that would come from this would be one for the books. Now, five-and-a-half years later, here we are. She’s marrying the man of her dreams, the love of her life, and I’m honored to stand by her side as she makes this commitment.
