We met in high school — totally unexpectedly — as friends who slowly but surely became something more. What started with friendly conversations and shared classes eventually turned into homecoming dates and nervous movie nights at the Edwards in West Covina. We still remember walking through the mall before the movie started, both of us shy and excited. It was sweet, simple, and the beginning of everything.

There wasn’t one big moment when we knew — at least not for both of us. For Michelle, it was a series of small, beautiful moments: acts of kindness, shared laughter, the way Bryan was always present. For Bryan, it was instant — the very first conversation, the very first glance. Over time, those little moments became a lifetime of memories.

From high school graduations to grad school degrees, from new jobs to shared losses, we’ve walked through life side by side for almost 18 years. We’ve grown up together, celebrated wins, comforted each other during hard times, and found joy in everything from cooking dinner together to binge-watching movies on lazy weekends.

Our proposal story? It was Christmas Day — a change of plans thanks to a delayed ring delivery (shoutout to shipping chaos). Bryan had originally planned to propose at Disneyland during the holiday snowfall, but life had other plans. So instead, he tucked the ring into a Disneyland castle ornament, wrote a heartfelt card, and popped the question in the cozy magic of our decorated home. Nerves? Definitely. But surprise? Oh yeah — she never saw it coming.

We love each other for countless reasons. Bryan’s humor and dimples, Michelle’s big heart and strength. We make each other laugh constantly and challenge each other to grow. Our relationship is adventurous, magical, loving — and, okay, a little dorky too. But that’s what makes it ours.

We’re so excited for what’s ahead. Our honeymoon in New Zealand, moving into a new space, maybe even a dog or a kid someday. And yes — we’re still planning that goal of visiting every Disney resort in the world.
