We’re getting married at the iconic Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Massachusetts—and it’s not just any night. Our wedding falls on the 100th anniversary of the very first wedding ever held at the hotel, making it an extra special celebration for us!
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the hotel. The ceremony begins at 4:00 PM, with the reception continuing through the evening until 11:00 PM.
We’re so excited to share this unforgettable moment in such a historic (and magical!) setting with all of you.
What time should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early to allow time for parking and finding your seat. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM, and out of respect for the moment, late entry won’t be allowed once it starts.
Since it’s October in Salem (aka peak spooky season), traffic around town can be a bit heavier—so giving yourself some extra travel time is a good idea.
But have no fear about parking—we’ve got you covered! The hotel parking lot is fully reserved for our wedding guests, and there will be an attendant to guide you. You’ll have a guaranteed spot right next door to the venue, with no need to walk far or search around. Easy, stress-free, and close!
Is there a dress code?
Black-Tie & Black Attire Only!
We’re so excited to celebrate with you, and we kindly ask all our guests to join us in wearing formal black attire. This will be a black-tie event, which means tuxedos for men and floor-length gowns or elegant cocktail dresses for women. To keep the look cohesive and timeless, we’re also asking that everyone wears black—no other colors, please!
We can’t wait to see you looking fabulous and to celebrate this special day together in style.
Are we allowed to bring a guest?
Due to venue capacity and our hope to keep things intimate, we can only accommodate the guests listed on your invitation.
We truly wish we could invite everyone, but thank you for understanding and helping us keep the celebration close and meaningful.
Can we bring children?
While we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only event, with the exception of our flower girls.
We hope you understand—and enjoy a well-deserved night out on us!
Will there be a cocktail hour?
Absolutely!
After the ceremony, join us for a cocktail hour before we head into the reception.
Drinks are on us, hangovers on you. Cheers!
