I had been traveling for awhile and did my first assignment on my own and chose to go to Wilmington, North Carolina. My mom kept telling me that she was scared I was going to move down there and find a nice man and not come back home to Utah. (Thanks for manifesting for me mom ;)) Johnny had lived in Wilm for around two years.

I had lived there for a few months and on a random Thursday night I was out Downtown celebrating a friends birthday. Johnny had met up with his friend who was a resident at the hospital. I had worked with him that day and I went to say hi. Johnny was on night shift and I was on day shift. We had worked together since I moved but somehow had never met each other. Not only were we at the same hospital but in the same department.

They ended up joining my friends and me the rest of the night and we had a blast. Johnny followed me on instagram that night and a few days later I invited him to come meet us for a friends going away party. After that one night we never stopped talking. As much as we both were in our single "not looking for anything" era, we couldn't deny that we simply loved being around each other. Everyone around us would tell us we were in love and going to end up together. After being inseparable for a month we finally admitted it to ourselves too.

I know everyone says they are marrying their best friend but I truly am marrying my best friend. I guess what they say is true, your mom is always right ;)
