ATTENDANCE

How do I RSVP?

Please RSVP on this website (click RSVP tab) by JUNE 5, 2024. If you have any questions related to this process, please text Cade or Carolyn or email them at theprices2024@gmail.com.

Do I need a passport to attend?

YES!!!!!!! EACH traveler in your party must have a passport and E-tickets for this trip. The name on your passport and E-tickets must match your airline tickets exactly. Passports must be valid for 6 months after travel. Each traveler needs an E-ticket for arrival into Punta Cana AND an e-ticket for departure out of Punta Cana.

Watch this video for instructions on how to complete the E-ticket application.

Complete the E-ticket application HERE.

The E-Ticket service is completely free of charge. If you are being charged for e-tickets, you are on a fake website.

Can I bring a date? Or bring my kids?

Please check your invite for information about your plus one. If your kids are invited, your invite will include them.

If you are sure that you are bringing a plus one when you RSVP, you can accept the invite for your guest. You will then be required to enter your guest information.

If you are not sure if you will be bringing a plus one (or if you are not sure who you want to bring), you can decline their attendance. We can add your plus one back to the guest list if you notify us at theprices2024@gmail.com by JUNE 5, 2024.

If you are unsure who your plus one will be, please be sure to discuss this with Teresa prior to booking your accommodations. She will advise you on how to proceed with booking your accommodations.

Do I have to stay at Hard Rock Punta Cana to attend?

We want to ensure that all of our guests have the best possible experience and have access to all wedding-related events & perks! To that end, it's required that all guests stay at the Hard Rock Punta Cana AND book their resort accommodations through our wedding room block (by June 5, 2024).

If you choose to book your rooming through a third-party site, you may not have access to certain events and may be subject to an event attendance fine from the resort.

The resort is BIG! How can I connect with Cade, Carolyn, and other wedding guests?

We've created a private Facebook Group (HERE) where guests attending the wedding can ask questions, post updates, and share photos during & after the trip! While at the Hard Rock, Cade and Carolyn will post real-time updates to this Facebook Group so guests will know where they'll be throughout day and can join in for the fun!

If you take a photo with Cade and Carolyn, please share it in the Facebook Group so they can relive all the great memories when they get home! :)

Since the Facebook group is private, you will need to request to become a member (via the Facebook Group page).

Will my smart phone work at the resort?

If you are using your cellular service, please contact your provider to understand what is included in your plan if you want your phone to work in Punta Cana. Once at the resort, most areas have strong wifi. The Whatsapp app is generally the most common app to text and make calls. You can also use your room phone to call USA and Canada numbers free of charge.

Is there a dress code to enter the restaurants?

Some of the resort's restaurants have a dinner dress code of Resort Casual (see below):

"Long pants, jeans, dress shorts and collar shirt or polo shirt required for men. Shoes, tennis shoes or dress sandals. For women: blouses, skirts, slacks or dresses, dress shoes or dress sandal. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops allowed. No bathing suits allowed."

You can find more details about specific restaurants and their dress codes here.

Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Hard Rock Punta Cana is a great resort, though they WILL try to pitch their timeshare and "exclusive members only" Legendary Club options to you when you arrive! If they mention setting up a "meeting" or "tour," we recommend you politely decline their offers, even if they insist they can get you special deals and perks. Your accommodations you set up (though booking with Teresa) will handle everything you need for this trip, and you can easily book your own meal reservations, activities, spa appointments, etc. through the iPad in your room at the resort.

OTHER THINGS WE RECOMMEND:

-If you plan to bring cash for tipping, gambling, or other purchases, we recommend that you get cash in the States rather than at the resort. If you're bringing cash for tipping, we also recommend you break your cash into smaller bills prior to traveling into Punta Cana. The resort only accepts USD.

-Purchase things like sunscreen, over-the-counter medications, etc., in the States. It will be much more expensive to buy those items at the resort!

THE WEDDING

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors? What is the dress code?

The wedding will be outdoors on the beach, so please dress accordingly! Dress code is Beach Casual (see below for more details).

A casual beach wedding has a much more relaxed dress code compared to a semiformal or formal event, but it's still not "bathing suits and board shorts" territory. Casual attire for a beach wedding is kind of like what you'd wear to a nice dinner on vacation. Khaki, linen, or chino pants or shorts are perfectly acceptable, as well as button-down shirts (long or short sleeve) or a nice polo. Casual sundresses, maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates (like a nice top and skirt) are appropriate choices, though it's still a good idea to avoid super-short dresses since wind can be a factor. We recommend choosing sandals or shoes that will be comfortable to wear in the sand.

Is it okay to take pictures with my phone or camera during the wedding ceremony?

No, this will be an unplugged ceremony, so we ask that guests enjoy the moment with us and do not use their cameras or phones.

You're welcome to take as many pictures as you'd like before or after the ceremony, though! :) And if you do take any photos, please share them with Cade & Carolyn on our Wedding Facebook Group.

MISCELLANOUS

Should I purchase travel insurance?

Due to the fact that we are still living in unprecedented times (and October falls within Punta Cana's hurricane season), we HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing travel protection! You can select to purchase travel insurance when filling out the Booking Form (on Travel page). If you have questions about travel insurance, please email Teresa Davis at teresa@designyourvacation.com.

Click here to view Hard Rock Punta Cana's Hurricane Policy.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

The resort offers a wide range of options for all dietary needs!

The wedding dinner will be buffet-style and be planned with common dietary restrictions in mind. We will aim to have something for everyone, whether you're vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.

If you have any extreme food allergies, please notify Cade and Carolyn as soon as possible at theprices2024@gmail.com.
