What do I wear?
We ask that you wear cocktail/formal attire.
What does that mean?
Formal attire might include a jacket and tie or a traditional suit. An elegant dress or a nice pantsuit would also be appropriate.
Feel free to wear whatever colors you like and use this as an excuse to dress up for an evening with us! As long as you like what you’re wearing, we’re sure you’ll look fantastic.
Will there be food available?
We’ll be serving hors d’oeuvres at the start of the reception followed with a sit down dinner served to your table. There will be plenty of sweet and savory options of things to snack on throughout the night. Please reach out to us if you have any food allergies we need to be aware of and we will try to accommodate appropriately.
Will there be alcohol?
This will be a dry wedding. No alcohol will be provided and we ask you do not bring any on the premises.
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 9130 Hervay Cv, Cordova TN, 38016 or contribute to our New Home fund.
A wedding card box will be at our reception as well.
What is the parking situation?
The venue has ample parking behind the building. There are wheelchair accessible ramp entrances from the parking lot into the venue. Please do not park in-front of the main entrance.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
We hope to start right at 5:30pm so we ask you arrive at least 10 minutes before to be ready for everything to begin! Parking is right next to the venue so you won’t need to travel far from your car to get to the outdoor ceremony. There will be attendants to help you find parking as well.
What is the weather like in Memphis in May?
As it is late May, the Memphis can get pretty humid and hot with occasional rain. The plan is to have a brief ceremony outdoors while the reception will be indoors.
If conditions become extreme, both ceremony and reception will be moved indoors. Memphis weather can shift rather quickly, so it’s probably best to refer to your weather app and we will try to update you if there are any changes.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both! The ceremony will be held outdoors weather-permitting, followed by an indoor reception.
Throughout the reception, there will be outdoor elements though you are perfectly welcome to stay indoors for the whole reception if you so choose.
Can I bring a plus one?
As we are limited to a specific number of guests, we ask you not bring any additional people unless explicitly listed on your invitation. Let us know though, and we can try to accommodate you!
Can I bring my child?
We love you children but in this occasion, we are only able to accommodate children of close family, who are named on the invitation.
For those present, please note the venue has a 4 foot deep pool on the property and there will be no lifeguard.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
Between the ceremony and reception, there will be a brief Social Hour during will you can enjoy refreshments being served or play lawn games while we get some photos taken!
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
During the ceremony, please refrain from taking pictures or videos from your phone as professionals have been hired to capture this moment. During the reception however, please do and send them to us after!
Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I am in town for your wedding?
Visit Graceland, get some Memphis BBQ, walk by the Mississippi River or down Beale Street, go see Sun Studio, Stax Records, or the Memphis Zoo and so much more! If you’re here for the weekend definitely take sometime to explore the city.
I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?
You can ask either of us, give us a call or shoot us a text and we’ll try to clarify any questions you may have.
